Very nice hotel in close proximity to restaurants and shops on Maine street. It is also very close Bowdoin College where I had business. Room had modern decor and was very clean. Both the restaurant and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I am a vegetarian and the only complaint I have is limited selections of vegetarian items on the restaurant […] menu. Only stayed one night, so not a huge opportunity to test the hotel. The room was spotless and the TV and shower worked without problem. The evening check-in person was pleasant and competent. Parking was ample and within easy distance of the back door. My wife and I both felt the pillows were a bit hard and if we were staying another night would have […] asked for replacements. Loved to be upgraded to a 2 beds room and though enjoying more space. Loved the white bathroom design even if on a small scale.Loved to have an empty fridge at disposal where we stored some delicacies from The Bouchon french bakery (Time warner tower). Didn t appreciate the exterior noise at all !!!!

We have stayed at this hotel before and it has been renovated and is very lovely. The room was beautiful and comfortable. It is a close walk to Maine Street and so wonderful to walk thru the beautiful downtown - near restaurants etc. Our only problem was that they were having internet problems. I don't know if this was unusual or not. The staff was […] not very helpful or friendly about this. Most did not seem knowledgeable about how to fix it. The wait staff at breakfast in the morning was friendly and helpful when we asked about activities in the area, and the front desk staff was great too, and called us to tell us we left our housekeys in the room, then held them at the desk no problem […] until we passed back through town. nice place -- I got there late and was really, really looking forward to a glass of wine but the in-room mini-bar had no alcohol at all and the bar was closed. Not a huge deal but it's one of those little amenities that make a stay a bit more comfortable.

This is a nice reasonably priced hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and everything is new. The check in service was spotty but we did arrive on a Sunday night and there were very few people at the hotel. Overall, the food and service were good. We would return.
