"Incredible Value for a Short Stay"
My friend and I stayed here the night before we got an early start on our getaway to Manhattan. From there it took just over an hour in rush hour to the Upper East Side where we'd rented an apartment for the weekend. We did not expect much for the price, but were pleasantly surprised with comfortable beds, a clean room, good climate control, better […] than average decor, and most importantly, peace and quiet. We arrived at the hotel within 5 minutes of leaving I-95, but the remote location away from other commerce made it ideal for a good night's sleep. Others complained in reviews there was nothing within walking distance, but that's what made it ideal for us! We did not plan to eat there as we brought along breakfast, so we can speak to the food quality or value. The bottom line is that we did not expect much from the reviews or the price, but I rate this very highly as a comfortable and quiet option for passing through. We had the Standard King Jacuzzi room, It was very nice Love the vaulted ceiling and the hot tub is very roomy! Heat worked great actually had to turn it off it worked so well! We've stayed here for a couple times already and we've never had problems until the last time we stayed. We reserved a standard king room but we usually get the deluxe one, and it said on the description that it had the 32-inch tv, fridge and microwave, but when we got there, there was none of those items in the room. I love this hotel! For the low price I could of not asked for more. Friendly staff, bar, good food in the vending machine, clean smelling! Oh and also the jacuzzi was big and just the rite amount of power in the jets. Also, the drinks at the bar were cheap and you could bring your drinks back to your room! "One Day Like a Week"
The Palace is a wonderful hotel. The room TV needs to be upgraded to HDTV flat screens, and the bed needs upgrading to firm mattrress. But the hotel is a very wonderful place to stay. I stayed one night and had dinner at the authentic Indian resturant in the hotel. Dinner was excellant, service was excellant.
