"Sheraton - Clayton, MO"
Only one block from Metrolink train at Central Ave. so it was easy to get downtown. Parking is right next door in a garage and easy to get in/out. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The only cons of this hotel were that I was on the 7th floor (of 14) and only 1 elevator was in working condition on a busy weekend, so ended up taking the stairs […] most of the time. The room was what I expected, however the bathroom only has a shower stall, which I didn't notice in the room description, but not a problem for me. One of the bathroom vanity lights was out -- something that I would have expected to be taken care of before guests arrived. "Sheraton Clayton Plaza - lots to do within walking"
We stayed at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza on 5/28/11. The hotel is older, but I must say the staff was top notch, and the room was nothing spectacular, but very clean and comfortable. It more than met my expectations. It's within walking distance of many great restaurants and bars. Parking was ample and check in was easy. We will definitely stay here […] again. Beware. I did not get a warm feeling upon entering this hotel. Staff was not all that friendly, especially Susan from the front desk when I went to check out. She was being exceptionally rude, telling us that it was our fault that our stay wasn't a positive experience. (bug on the bed, dusty surroundings, blaring alarm at 3am, paper thin walls hearing […] banging all night) Otherwise, the rooms were TINY, having two beds in that room was a bit much, but pretty clean, at least pillows were comfy! The location was okay, close to the Metro, close to the "city"...The parking was in a garage, $14 a day! and a pain to maneuver because it was so tiny and dark in there. "Everything was great"
Everything was great, but don't be a hurry to get to your room. There are 2 relatively small elevators that service the 16 story hotel building. Also, they asked if we were parking there for the evening, and because we were, they charged us $14 for the night. Wish we could add more elevators to our 45 year old hotel, but that is not the option. Since we own our parking, we are responsible for the insurance and cleaning of the garage, thus we charge for parking. We do offer a "bundle package" that includes internet and parking. "Convenient and comfortable"
This was my third stay at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza, and I'm sure I'll stay there again. It's convenient to the places I visit when I'm in St. Louis, with easy access to the main highways. The bathrooms, though remodeled, show a few signs of wear, but they're very clean, as is the hotel overall. "just outside st. louis"
The pool was absolutely disgusting. The ice machine on our floor was broke when we arrived and was never fixed in the 4 days that we were there. There was also never a sign put on it so we would hear people trying over and over all day and night. Parking was expensive and had to pay per night as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
