"Not happy"
I was very upset. We love going to the casino and thought that we may really enjoy booking a room with them. When we entered the room it smelled of smoke we where suppose to have a smoke free room. The AC vent blows on the bed but does not keep at a steady temp, so it would either be really cold or hot not very comfortable.. No towels in the bathroom, […] and the sheets where dirty. Was puyt in room 2820. Room was disgusting , carpet was filthy to the point feet would get black walking on it, Furniture was stained. Spoke to front desk and the service manager wa sent up, who agreed she would not stay in the room. The manager Brenda moved us to 2814 furniture was not stained but carpet was dirty, Found out later that the 28th floor […] was the only floor not renevated. We stayed here for one night due to a business meeting in the area... The employee's and staff where extremely rude and not at all willing to help...We had made some very spefic request not only when we made our reservation online but we called the IP as well a week before we where to arrive to ensure that there would be pleanty of time to honor these […] request... "Don't waste your time here"
The Valet signs were pointing to the wrong lane. I followed the signs, stupid me. The bellman directed me to the valet queue but failed to take my luggage. The cleak at registration obviously had a problem working on Christmas day and it shone through in her snarky attitude. The room was awful. It looked dirty, smelled like an old ashtray, the bed […] linen was threadbare and torn, the drapes were wrinkled and torn, the carpet was stainded. The mattresses were lumpy and the box springs squeaked with every movement. The plumbing is detached from the wall in the tub in the bathroom. All of the open BlackJack, Craps and Poker tables were full. Only the high minimum BlackJack and Baccarrat or that Chinese card game had chairs available. "Never Again"
Checked in on Sun evening. The cable was out in all the rooms. The cable had been out since Sat morning and was known by the staff that it wouldn't be back on before Mon. This was not revealed to anyone checking in. When I called to inquire about it I was told "you will have to go to the sports bar if you want to watch TV." I said "That's unacceptable!" […] and was told "Yes it is." There was no compensation offered. I was in a non-smoking room which smelled like smoke. The beds are absolutely horrible; no support and sink down in in the middle. "Non-gambers take heed"
I booked this hotel because it appeared to be a good value for the money, and in that regard it was okay. However, I'm not a gambler or a smoker so they have no use for people like me. Call me crazy but when I think of spa or resort I think of a healthy environment. The hotel allows indiscriminate smoking, there's no outdoor area to sit and enjoy the […] weather, and the pool closed at 7pm. There's a spa but it is ridiculously overpriced as is the food. Bad service in the restaurant. In addition, every tv is tuned to sports (do they not realize they do have women there???) and the tv station selection is pitiful. $15.00 to get an on-demand movie - really ????? "Extremely dissapointed !! Stay Away..."
We stayed( no survived !!) one night at this hotel on our way to Smoky Mountains and Atlanta from Houston, TX. How does this casino resort even appear in the top picks of any travel site ? Extremely dissapointed with what we encountered at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, at first we were happy that at the checkin we were offered a complimentary […] upgrade to a suite. But that was the only silver lining since every thing else in the tale was dark to say the least. The carpets in the room was so dusty it could have given any body an attack of allergy. We were hoping for at least some kind of a view of the nearby bay. But alas there was no view at all. The whole window was blocked by machinery and stuff placed just outside the window. Great! What more worse can it get and so we thought... The most disgusting part of the entire casino resort was that they have a some kind of centralised air conditioning which seems to run through the casino floors, hall ways and even the rooms. So you get to breathe in the same constant smoke filled air even in your room and every where you move about. It felt so bad that I did not stay at the Isle of Capri few miles away where I had stayed before and had found it really clean and healthy.... Travellers be advised.
