Property Features.
Country Club Villas has an indoor pool, a spa tub, and a fitness facility. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas. Additional amenities at this Beaux Arts property include an arcade/game room, tour/ticket assistance, and barbecue grills. Self parking is complimentary. The property may provide extended parking privileges to guests after check-out (surcharge).
Guestrooms.
The 48 air-conditioned guestrooms at Country Club Villas include washers/dryers and coffee/tea makers. Beds have pillowtop mattresses and Egyptian cotton sheets. Complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access is provided. Televisions are equipped with cable channels and DVD players. All units at this 3-star condominium resort have kitchens with stovetops, microwaves, refrigerators, and dishwashers. Additional amenities include hair dryers and irons/ironing boards. Housekeeping is offered once per stay. Renovation of all guestrooms was completed in February 2011.

The condo that we stayed at advertised "ocean view", but the only way to see the ocean was by standing on the suspect looking walkway outside. The inside of the condo, although clean and seemingly updated, it had the air and general stickiness of a low-dollar apartment. My wife and I took 6 of our grandkids age 4 to 11 and we had a blast. The pool was great and the beach was across the street from our building. It was clean but wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. It was supposed to be ocean view, but we really couldn't see the ocean. It was advertised as having a king and queen bedroom, but had a king and two singles. "Nice hotel for a large family"

The location of the condo was good,but the unit we stayed in needed alot of repair. The front doorframe was rotted. The refrigerator door was broken. If we needed anything had to call front desk because housekeeping and maintainence didn't respond. Shower head needed replaced then the shower leaked through the wall and needed fixed. The pull-out sofa […] was very uncomfortable. We also had to wash our own towels because there was a charge for midweek housekkeeping. All in all not a good experience. "Unclean and old"
I assumed that this condo was older due to the price and I took into account all of the positive reviews prior to booking. With that being said, I still have expectations of cleanliness. My child made it a game to find the broken glass that luckily she or her two year old sister didn't step on. They need someone to go behind the cleaning crew to check […] their work. The walls in the kitchen were dirty. I have bad allergies and couldn't breathe in the room as there was dust all over. I asked for additional towels due to the fact that my family of four (who was staying for 5 nights) were only given 4 towels. I was told that they do not give out additional towels because we have a washer and dryer in our room. I told her that I was on vacation and did not come to do laundry. She did give me extra towels rather than argue with me. They also did not come and clean the room at all during our stay which would have been nice. I was also concerned with two sets of neighbors that we had. Car alarms went off during the wee hours of the night. Just not a relaxing place to stay, but I guess you get what you pay for. This was nice and convenient to the beach, and the 2 BR condo was comfortable, clean and attractively decorated. My husband thought the place was long and narrow, and we didn't know we were getting 1 BR with 2 single beds and 1 with a King. The booking info stated 2 Kings and we are 2 couples- we let my parents have the King and we pulled the 2 singles […] together (not particularly desirable). Parking was a bit difficult due to the supporting beams between every space. Checking in was confusing and difficult since the checkin was located 3 miles away from the actual condo; as a matter of fact we had to assist another confused guest in finding where to check in. The only other issue is that when the wifi went down the receptionist merely promised to tell the manager but didn't offer any timeline as to when it would be fixed or alternative ideas. "Very Highly Recommended!"
This was our second stay at Country Club Villas and I'm sure it won't be our last. The staff there will bend over backward to make sure your stay is pleasant. The rooms are very nice and the full kitchen saves a lot of money eating out. The only reason I gave the cleanliness a 4 instead of a 5 rating was because there was a cobweb on the ceiling fan […] that kept bugging me LOL. The resort is quiet and peaceful, and the other people staying there seem to be quite nice as well. The pool and hot tub are a welcome break from the SC heat. Being a resort, they could try to pressure you to buy a time share, but never once have they done this to us, which is a good thing as far as we are concerned. The only real downfall to us is that it is a mile or so from the beach, which takes about 3 minutes to get to, but the upside of the condo certainly outweighs the drive to the beach. I had second thoughts after booking because of the price(I got in on the Spring Special) but after we arrived at the condo we were all very surprised and the condo was more than we were expecting. We had a very nice balcony and nice grassy area that we used the grill there two nights of our stay which was nice. The kitchen was better equiped than most […] we had stayed at. We did have to call the office to get extra towels but then just washed them during our stay. The washer & dryer are located outside under the condo in a locked room but the steps weren't bad and we really enjoyed the privacy of not having anyone above us or below us. The resort is in a very nice neighborhood and the staff was very nice when checking in. The pool area was great. It is about 1.4 miles from the beach. We enjoyed the Surfside area much better than Myrtle Beach because it isn't as busy. We are going again next year and hopefully will get the same great rates as we did this year. Well let me start off by saying this was a fabulous Family Trip! We stayed at the Sandy Shores III and it had everything we needed... washer & dryer, fridge, stove, dish washer, the works! We had plenty of towels so there was no need to ask front desk for more. The location was perfect, and also we were right across the street from the beach! How awsome […] is that! Only thing I didn't like was that we ran out of hot water for a fam of 4. No big deal, we just made some adjustments with time and everything worked out.
