Room was basic needs, comfortable bed/pillows, modest/outdated decorating, clean. Everything worked, toilets flushed, water pressure good, shower great. Office staff helpful and friendly. Compared to the photo I saw when booking the reservation, the motel in person was much nicer in its overall outward appearance (I suggested to the desk person to update the photo on Expedia). The rooms are neat & sufficient for a motel-type stay where a decent place is needed. To the person expecting a full breakfast, you will be disappointed. As is described, this motel provides a CONTINENTAL breakfast = juice, milk, coffee, hot water for tea; starchy-type foods: cereal, sticky buns, muffins, danishes, oatmeal packs, bread w/a toaster, 1 day there were waffles; a bowl of fruit (that, if empty, just ask for more). However, I discovered a coupon for a free 1-egg breakfast at a local Waffle House (which would have been nice to see earlier than my settling on the provided breakfast). The location is very convenient to many local-area destinations. It is near the interstate; less than 2 miles from downtown Hendersonville; 30 mins to Brevard; 20+ mins to Asheville. Outback Steakhouse is a 30-second drive away, convenient store is within walking distance, fast food places and a beer/wine store are right across the main street, other restaurants are nearby. This was a good value for the price paid. However, I was disappointed with the tobacco smell coming from the window drapes. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room. For the price I paid I would have been happy for no bed bugs (which there weren't). The staff was friendly, the room was clean and kept well, other than the bathroom door stop busted into the wall (which you couldn't notice unless the door was closed with you in it) and the shower drain was clogged (a little more annoying). I was visiting from NJ for […] a friend's wedding and the price allowed me to stay a few extra days to check out the surrounding areas than had I stayed in the resort he got married at in Lake Lure...which had smaller rooms with a nicer view for over 2x the price. The continental breakfasts were unimpressive, but they did the job of filling me up til lunch, and for the price what do you really expect? Downtown Hendersonville is about 5 minutes away, and Asheville is about 20 and I-26 is right across the street along with your usual chain roadside eateries, although I much prefer the local flavor. I was a little worried about the hotel, such low prices usually reflect the standard, but that was not the case here. The hotel was great, and worth every penny. Easy to get to and located in such a way it was simple to get to all the surrounding areas. It was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our stay at the Days Inn was everything that we expected. It was very close to I-26 and was only about a 20 minute drive to Asheville, which was our destination. The hotel staff was friendly and and very responsive to our needs. I actually left my cell phone at the hotel, and they graciously mailed it to me.
