"Okay for overnight"
Needs updates in the rooms and could use more thorough cleaning. Mirror had been repaired with duct tape, what appeared to be mold was on the grout on the shower tiles. There was also a hair in the tub. Beds were clean and comfortable. Very quiet. They give you $3 off food at the McDonalds next door. "Super 8 in Mquoketa"
Upon arrival I was greeted by a very courteous staff member. This made for a great start to my business trip. I usually stay at Hilton hotels, but because Maquoketa is such a small town, the choices were few. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was very gracious. This was the best Super 8 motel I have ever stayed at! If you should have to […] travel to Maquoketa, I would highly recommend. Breakfast is cereal and pop tarts (generic brand), but there are a few places to eat around the hotel and the supermarket right across the parking lot. Because I travel for business in the health care industry, this was a great location, barely 1/3 of a mile away from the local hospital. Before booking a hotel, I always make sure that there is proper internet service as it is a must for me to draft reports of my hospital visits. The first day was great. On the second day, there was no connection at all. I called the front desk, and there was no help whatesoever. I was disappointed when I asked the young woman how she would help me, and she replied "I can't" and that was it. Although this is not a top notch hotel, I would have expected a little more assistance and a little less of the "so what?" attitude. Apart from this downer, the stay was good. "Great stay for Fairground events"
Hotel was very nice, easy to find. Not so thrilled about the parkinglot location. Rooms were affordable, close to stores and restaurants. Do not plan to be filled by their contenental breakfast. All around enjoyable stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
