Upon arrival they only had one person at the front desk and 3 customers waiting. The attendant could not find my reservation finally she called someone who helped her find my reservation. After apologizing for the time she took she then agreed to give me a late check out of 11:00 am. I checked out by 10:30 am on on my checkout date. Then when I checked […] my credit card statement they billed me for an extra day. Now that is what they tell me, but my check out date was on May the 5 th and the credit card was charged May the 4 th. they must be psychic to know I was checking out late the next day!!!!! The property was convenient, very well maintained, and an overall good value for our length of stay. We stayed in Unit 4202 and it was clean and had all of the items we could have needed for our stay. Dishes,utensils, linens, washer and dryer, and vacuum. Those are the positives. The negatives; our beds in both rooms were very uncomfortable and Very […] squeaky. The couches were a bit worn and the cushions not comfortable if you were sitting for any length of time. I had read the reviews and upon arrival asked for a unit that had new beds. When we got up to the room the beds were terrible. They offered to move us, but could not guarantee the quality of the beds in our new unit. I opted to not move without guarantee, but instead accepted the offer that they would bring us thick foam mattress pads. They had no access the first night, no one brought one the next day while we were at the Disney park all day or the next day...though I called both evenings. Upon on checkout I complained; seems that the attendant that was on duty upon check in did not know of the "secret" list of beds that have been replaced!!!! What they Hey! These units have to primarily be for people visiting the parks in the area. After a long day all you want is a comfortable bed! Please know this is a factor with this property though I was assured of the notification to each owner to change the beds (notification went out about a year ago) you may get a unit that has bad beds! We really enjoyed out short stay at Caribe Cove. It was perfectly set up for young families - units are complete with highchair and playpen. The pool was just the right depth for young swimmers. The previous hotels we had stayed at in Floriday were all too deep for our 5 year old Grandson to touch the bottom. Excellent size for a large family. Beautifully decorated, massive and plenty of room for kids to run. I thought they were very clean although, there was a werid smell when we came in through the doors. It could be the musk of an unused room, but the smell quickly subsided onced we settled in. My biggest problem was the beds, I felt like I was sleeping […] on a floor, terrible comfort. During my stay I noticed they were brining in new mattresses throughout the apartments, so I am sure they are working on changing the beds. Other than the beds, I was HIGHLY pleased. This was not clear on the Hotels.com website and was very misleading. It was an extra $80 plus $6 a day. Very frustrating to learn this when you're checking in with no option to refuse. I thought the hotel was relatively cheap for the season, so I booked it. Had 3 bedrooms and what we needed. I arrived early (at 1pm), and they didn't let me check in until the actual time of 4pm. Ok so my bad (but all of the hotels I've ever stayed in find a room, even if it's early or at least let you have the room key). When I finally came back to […] check in (was only for 1 night), they surprised me with a departure cleaning fee and some other fee almost equal to what I paid for the room!!! Couldn't believe it. For that price I could have stayed in a Disney resort or in Lake Eve Resort (for much less actually), which has much more comfortable beds and doesn't charge any fees and is twice and nice and close to everything! We stayed on ground floor over looking the pond with 2 nice grills big enough to cook 8 hambergers at the same time! Oh and you can share those with the other 5 floors. Inside was nice and had huge bathrooms. I would get the 3 bd 2bth unit and rent from a private owner if you are planning a long stay that way you can get a good bed. We rented from a […] company that holds a fair number of these properties and they put HARD BEDS in the rooms. We had a 3-bedroom appartment. The mattress in all 3 bedrooms was horrible...it was so old and stained..and just absolutly horrible to sleep on. There vas a thick layer of dust at the matress. The carpet in the room was so dirty and we had to keep our shoes on, as we didnt want to get dirty socks. the "fresh" Kitchen towel had a huge grease stain on […] it. We booked this facility because we needed 3 bedrooms for our family. The condos are beautiful and spacious. We had 3 issues with this hotel. First was the pool closed at sunset which is around 6 PM this time of year. After being at the parks during the day the kids were unable to swim in the evenings. I asked one of the staff members if they had a sister […] facility we could use to swim and she did offer to send us to another facility which was about 3 miles away. Another staff member rudely informed me they were not to do this and we could only go there this one time. Second issue was their guest computers were down and we were unable to use them to print boarding passes, etc. for our return flight. Last issue (BIG ISSUE) was the beds. We are a family who can sleep on just about anything. We found beds that we could not sleep on. After the second night, we took the beds apart and slept on mattresses on the floor. Although I've read they are in the process of replacing all the mattresses, it doesn't help those who are in rooms with the old mattresses. I do not recommend staying at this facility. Read more

The suite we stayed in was beautifully decorated, Very well equipped and very clean. The property was very well maintained, and the buildings looked new and well kept. My wife and I were extremely impressed with everything until we tried the bed. I had read all of the other reviews, and figured that it couldn't be as bad as they were saying. If you do stay here, I do not reccomend the Italian Restraunt that is at the resort. We ordered over the phone, and got our food 1hr later. It was cold and disgusting. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Caribe Cove Resort. This was the 5th time we stayed here. It is a very nice quiet place. The service is great.... The 3 bedroom 2 bath is very very roomy & super clean...Having a full kitchen is awesome especially fully equipped with dishes, silverware, pots & pans, coffee maker... all the comforts of home!! […] The locations is great. just an hour from either Clearwater Beach or Cocoa Beach or 1 hr 10 mins from Daytona Beach. While not perfect it was a very satisfactory stay. Because of prior experiences staying west of the Main Gate on 192 I had expected dissatisfaction. However, the check in experience was speedy and informative. The appearance of the grounds and buildings well kept yet subdued. The unit was very clean and showed signs of use. As if I was renting a house […] that was lived in. The signs of use are over shadowed and erased by the extreme cleanliness of the space. So much of an effort was made for the suite to be perfectly clean that I could see the furniture had been moved to clean. I did look for any sign of dirt, dust and lack of care and could not find any. Even the utility space was spotless and dust free. So we moved in. We are happy to find that high speed wireless IS available in the units and is, better yet, a unique connection for each unit. Much better online security that most travel locations. However, when we got there it did not work. So I informed the front desk and expected a long wait. Surprise! before I got back to the unit, less than a two minute walk the staff was already working on the problem and I had service in less than 15 minutes. The air conditioner stopped working one day and was repaired in under an hour, including the installation of replacement parts. There is no doubt in my mind that they will do what is reasonable as quickly as possible to make you stay enjoyable and satisfactory. Read more

Very convenient for all major Orlando attractions if you have a car. Staying "off property" with this great facility and a rental car made for an overall less expensive and yet more enjoyable trip. Orlando was packed to the brim while we were there, so I would suggest not traveling on West Irlo, but instead travel the other direction from the resort out to Hwy. 27 to get on I-4.
