Even with the minor hiccup in my stay involving my ex the staff was very friendly and helpful. I have never felt so at home in a hote until the Aloft! "Great neighborhood"
Aloft Los Colinas was in a beautiful location. It has a few businesses around it including shopping and also a few places to eat. It was very clean and our room was quite comfortable. It appears like it was once an older hotel that was revamped to be hip. We arrived late during our stay but informed them ahead of time and we didn't have any issue. The […] manager was very professional and made sure that we didn't have any trouble checking in since we were so late. The only downside was that hip techno music was played in the elevator and lobby 24/7, but you can't hear it in the hallways or rooms. The music truly wasn't a problem unless you wake up on the wrong side of the bed like I did that morning. My husband and I would stay here again as we received great service. This place had a very modern look and decor. The service was good for the most part, but some of the finer points were missed. The in room refrigerator did not work, there were no ice machines on the floors (you had to go to the front), and the bedding was not as comfortable as we are used to. On the other hand, the hotel shared a small retail area […] with a number of restaurants, so eating was very convenient. This is the 2nd time we've stayed at ALOFT Las Colinas. I like the modern design. The only complaint I have is with the TV channels. Most of them don't come in and while watching a channel it went blank. I had to turn the TV back on and it finally came back in. I know the TV is not very important, but sometimes we want to was a sporting event or news. […] Other than that, I love the location. "Clean Rooms but unorganized front desk staff"
It's a very modern place with clean rooms. There was nowhere comfortable to just sit other than the bed. I have a baby and I had to sit in the desk chair to nurse him. There was no comfortable couch or chair. I guess it's not really intended for families with babies. As for the front desk, I found them to be very polite, but a little untrained or something. […] I called the day before to make sure that my parents would be able to check in without me since I would be arriving with my infant son at the airport late that night. The man I spoke with was very helpful and assured me that my dad's name was added to the reservation and there would be no problem with him checking in. However, when my parents arrived they were not allowed to enter the room since neither of their names were on the reservation. They ended up having to sit around and wait for 4 hours until our plane arrived. When I checked in at the front desk late that night the young lady told me that my dad's name was on the reservation after all, but there had apparently been some mistake with the guy before who maybe didn't know how to use the system properly. It was a little disappointing that my parents weren't able to relax in a comfortable place after their long drive that day just because somebody wasn't trained properly at the front desk. The hotel was quite and nice. We rented a movie and with 30 minutes left in the movie it cut out. I called the front desk and he was happy to reboot the system but it did not work. We gave it tens minutes and still no luck. So I asked for a refund and they had no problem refunding the cost of the movie. The beds were soft and the room was super clean. Comfortable bed, and a very nice shower. They have hookups to widescreen TV for gaming/streaming devices. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Walking through the lobby feels a bit like walking into an MTV commercial; the whole theme is slightly cheesy but harmless enough. The food area is kind of odd and limited in selection, but I got a salad […] and it was fresh and pretty cheap. The parking is off to the side and you might have to walk a little further but nothing ridiculous. Nice neighborhood, and nearby Piman Asian Bistro has outstanding takeout. This was my second stay at this property. The first time was wonderful but this time left a little to be desired in terms of daily housekeeping. I had to call for things they forgot or didn't do each night of my stay. The hotel has stopped providing some of the neat Bliss products that they did on my first stay so if you're expecting those be aware […] they only provide bar soap and lotion now. I would rate this hotel as good for he value. You pay more for the ambiance, yet it does not include breakfast. The food offered in the lobby is rather pricey. Mc Donald's is right across the street for a quick breakfast. The rooms are nice and roomy, arrangement updated and fairly clean. My only issue was the large throw pillow on the bed.
