"FIZZLED WEEKEND"
We pre-paid for two days, kind of a mini vacation. Our weekend was cut short. We arrived on the 17th of August, we had our choice of rooms and floors. The hotel didn't have a lot of guests. My husband wanted an extra pillow and went to the closet. Under the extra pillow were bags of trash. We were shocked but decided not to let it ruin our weekend. […] We put the bags in the trash. Then I wanted to take a bath rather than a shower. When sitting in the tub I noticed the base of the toliet. To my surprise there was urine and hair....ewww. I immediately got out of the tub. The next morning, August 18th we were going out for a bit. I stopped by the front desk and told the ladies about the toliet. I asked that house keeping please go and clean the room...eww. Upon our return there was a note that said we had been smoking in the room, and my credit card was charged 200.00. First of all, we don't smoke. No one questioned us and I can only guess this was from the contents of the trash. We were both very upset and my husband was very angry. We decided to leave rather than cause a scene. I have tried to contact Hyatt Place and no response. My husband is over 60 and I am fast approaching, we know better than to smoke in a hotel room. We will not ever stay here again. Perhaps they were angry for reporting the room was dirty, I don't know. There will be no referals from us on this hotel. I am thinking about reporting them to AARP. This was just horrible. "Great area to stay-not too far from major areas"
Great, considerate, and helpful staff. Nice hotel. The breakfast, order to go was ok. The complimentary meal was ok as well. Breads, oatmeal, coffee, cereal, juice and fruit. Next time in the Dallas area, will probably choose this hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just what I needed"
After long weeks of business, this is the hotel of choice for a nice weekend spent with the one I love. We can always count on this hotel being very clean and the service being outstanding. When ever I need to get away and we are in Dallas, this will be the hotel of choice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great value"
Very clean, spacious and comfortable! Took a few tries to figure out how to get to the hotel- the access to it was weird but definitely worth it. Would stay again...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In the RIGHT place, perhaps, at the WRONG time!"
I must say, I was looking forward to our weekend getaway, however, it still turned out nicely. I won't blame Hyatt Place totally, but I was shocked to see so many underaged/undersupervised teens at the hotel. Not sure what was going on. It looked to be some sort of after party. Whatever the case, our hallway was a little noisy until I spoke with guest […] services downstairs. They jumped on the situation right away! There was ample (free) parking, and at night things are well lit, so that put me at ease. We didn't eat breakfast, or any of the snacks they offtered round the clock, but they did look inviting! Overall, I would definitely stay at the hotel again. For the money, you can't beat the comfort and classy atmosphere this hotel offers! I've stayed at other locations around the country, and bottom line, they're consistant, and always aiming to please! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
