Of all the superlatives hoisted on Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, behemoth is most apt. The airport is America’s second largest in terms of land mass, a space big enough to fit all of Manhattan. Freeways link the airport to the rest of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, including the adjacent suburbs of Grand Prairie, Grapevine, and Irving. The airport is the main hub for American Airlines.see all hotels in Irving
"Not a good experience!"
We arrive at the hotel and check in. When we get to our first room it is in shambles. It looks as if someone has come thru the window and destroyed the room. We go back and get a new room. Room twos ac stops working at midnight. The next morning we ask to change rooms and their is non availible at that time. They said they would move our bags for us […] to our new room. When we get back to our third room our luggage had not been moved. It was still in the old room while everyone was in and out. We asked for a refund and i was told by the manager that i had to call hotels.com to get the refund. We stay in hotels alot and this by far was the worst experience. "Horrible Help/customer service/"
The guy at the lobby was sleeping in the back when we checked out. Our shuttle bus driver woke him up for us. We watched others check out and he never came out. Room was great/clean/comfortable, but the customer service was horrible. Upon check in, the girl attending the lobby was not friendly. I had a serious situation/dilemma, but no one helped me; […] not the manager, not the lobby attendant and definitely not corporate. I'm very disappointed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Chose hotel, due to location (close to The Parking Spot). Had reservation and checked in. Go to room and its 82 degrees in the room. Made sure a/c was on. Lugged luggage and kids up to the room, then went and parked the car. Checked a/c again and it was 83 degrees. Went to front desk and complained. She proceeded to tell me give it time, it is a motion […] censored a/c... But she reluctantly gave us a different room. We change rooms and I look at the thermostat, it said 76 degrees....better. Assuming it had been used previous night. Had a flight first thing in the morning. Jump in the shower, no hot water. This is at 5:30am. Talk to front desk, she was aware that the hot water heater was out from day before (which she failed to mention!!!) Maintenance might be there that day to fix it. Walked down to a mediocre breakfast. Promptly changed reservations for the return trip to a different hotel! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very old facility, horrible musty smell. Linen and towels stained and old. Pool too small, enough room for a family of 4 and the hot tub just enough room for one person. Not a good experience! :(Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Don't stay at this hotel."
I would not recommend this hotel. We arrived late after waiting 1 hour for the airport shuttle. The closest restaurant is at the Sheraton which is a 10 minute walk down the highway (not great at night). They don't tell you that the shuttles to the airport only go on the hour so we had to take a cab which cost us $25. They also didn't provide the free […] breakfast as we left before the 6:30 am start and they ran out of their portable snacks. The front desk staff were not helpful at all. "For 40 minutes, NO shuttle bus!"
I have to catch up a very early fight at 6:00am. After checked in, I put my room number on the top of the reservation list for a 4:05am shuttle bus service. Tragedy was showing on the next morning. I began to wait for the shuttle bus at 3:55am. At 4:05am, the shuttle bus didn't show up. At 4:15am, no shuttle bus. I became only a little bit upset and […] asked the manager, a young gentleman, at the front desk. He told me he spoke to the driver, and the shuttle bus would arrive in moment, At 4:25am, no shuttle bus showed up. I became nervous and anxious, and asked for help form the manager. He spoke to the cell phone, and told me the bus would arrive in 7 minutes for sure. At 4:35am, ...no shuttle bus. All guests became nervous. The manager was totally helpless and hopeless, and no empathy, just like a machine, just told us what he learned from his cell phone. No sorry or efficient assistance. At 4:40am, everyone was crazy, and yelled the manager to call cabs. Another guest, a gentleman, who was before never nervous, asked us he would take the first cab arrived since his flight was earlier than others. At that moment, a guest was heading out to parking lot... I spoke to him boldly, and asked whether he could give a ride to terminal. That young guy is extremely great, he offered me a ride directly to the terminal on his way to return his car. When we were leaving for the terminal. NO shuttle! 4:45am. Thank to that young man, I caught up my flight. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Where is the shuttle driver"
After many hours of delays at the airport, i had to book a room in Dallas because i missed my connection. This hotel offered a free shuttle and was only 2 miles away. After waiting 1 1/2 hours for the shuttle, I said to the hotel manager I was taking a taxi. The taxi cost me $25 for a 2 mile drive and the hotel would not refund my taxi fare. I have […] never lived in a place or visited a place that cost me $25 for a 2 mile drive. I was told incorrect information where to pick up the shuttle. Hotel Management- TELL your staff explicitly what to tell guests and where to meet the shuttle. After the fifth call to the hotel, the shuttle driver arrived at the door I was finally told to meet him and refused to take us because he was too far from the curb. He opened the van door and then shut it and drove off. This is when we had to take a taxi. The hotel was very clean, but after many hours delay at the airport and waiting again for a shuttle, I will go to great lengths never to recommend this place. Management.... manage your employees ! "Never Going Back"
We arrived at the airport with our children fairly late, and we called the hotel for the courtesy van. I was told that they would be there in 10 minutes. We called 25 minutes later, and again, I was told it would be there in 10 minutes. 15 minutes and another phone call later, the van finally arrived. We were then put in the worst room in the entire […] hotel -- right by the laundry room and the elevator. Even though we had 5 people registered in the suite, we had to ask for additional sheets for the bed. Apparently, they don't account for this ahead of time. The front desk was extremely rude. Never, ever, ever going back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
""The UN-Comfort Suites""
This is the first hotel I’ve actually wanted to write a review over. This was possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had staying in a hotel. Well, first of all, this hotel was chosen by my group because it was close to the DFW Airport. Yeah, the title caught us. Plus, on the hotels.com website, it advertised this hotel as having “free parking.” This […] was a huge plus for us, so we booked it. We were very surprised to see a sign on the front desk of this hotel that basically said NO free parking. That was just the first of an entire night of disappointment. I had volunteered to sleep on the fold-out bed the couch in the ‘living room.’ After an hour or so on that treacherous thing, and after being woken up by every little sound I could hear our neighbors making through the paper-thin walls and every step anyone took through the hallway directly outside our room, I decided to fold the bed back up and sleep on the couch. That potato sack of a couch was more comfortable than any other surface I could have possibly slept on in that hotel. I managed to get three hours of sleep nonetheless. I was never so happy to get out of a hotel. I will say with confidence I’ll never go back inside that hotel. I mailed them a comment card I carefully filled out, I still haven’t received a reply. Maybe I was too harsh? Maybe calling this hotel “Comfort Suites” is a little bit of a stretch? Maybe a lot. Anyways, the moral of this rambling is don’t go here. Take it from me. This hotel appeared to have been newly renovated. The entrance and rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The hot breakfast was fresh, and all the staff were very friendly! The only thing that was a little disappointing is that there aren't too many restaurants nearby. But the pizza delivery was great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Many things wrong"
The free hotel van never showed up at the airport as promised then the hotel staff refused to answer the phone when I called back. One phone in the room did not work. The coffee maker did not work. And upon going to bed every 30 seconds the second phone would ring with a wake up call so I finally had to unplug the phone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
