Entrepreneur John Carpenter realized his vision of opening a Burmese-style luxury hotel in Texas by building the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas. The expansive lobby features modern and antique furnishings enhanced by the profusion of tropical foliage. Trevi's restaurant, known for its homemade pastries, offers intimate dining settings and prepares Italian-Mediterranean cuisine for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. An outdoor patio overlooks Lake Carolyn. Les Jardin is located in the hotel's garden atrium and serves light lunches, appetizers and cocktails. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Morsel's gift shop offers Starbucks coffee. A total of 45,000 square feet of multi-function space includes the landscaped grounds. The 8,500-square-foot Mokara Spa & Salon offers seven massage treatment rooms and 12 hair-salon stations. Therapy products include Aveda, June Jacobs and Peter Thomas Roth. A naturally lit health club overlooks the lake and features six weight machines, seven treadmills, three elliptical trainers and two recumbent bikes. Bar service is offered at the outdoor, lake-view pool and spa tub. Airport transportation is available 24 hours a day (surcharge).

This 28-story hotel offers 421 rooms and suites decorated in muted earth tones. All guestrooms are non-smoking. The Marble-clad bathrooms all contain makeup/shaving mirrors and are stocked with Institute Swiss toiletries. Minibars contain treats for the five senses that include Zen organic bars and Dean & Deluca sweets. Suites, some with balconies, echo the building's curved shape and feature subtle leaf-green and taupe color schemes. Two armoires house 40-inch LCD TVs with HBO and ESPN. Suites feature one-and-one-half bathrooms, some with bidets. Guestrooms and suites are equipped with high-speed wired and wireless Internet access (surcharge), and in-room safes accommodate laptops.

Must say a very nice resort. More than a hotel. The best service I've ever had. Glad I stayed at the hotel instead of family member. Dallas very hot in the 100's. Hotel nice to come to on hot day. Little things like lemonade every day gave a special touch. Staff more than helpful and friendly. Coming back in November for family union. Already booked […] the same room.
