"Run down and needs updating"
This was a 4-star hotel? I think not - 16 Wedding Anniversary get-a-way. Folks that come to this hotel are obviously milking their expense account - not a romantic get-a-way....more like a step up from staying the night at the airport itself. "Not What I expected"
My stay at this DFW Airport hotel was mediocre. I was in the King Corporate suite and little details were missed. The hotel has a great overall look but upon looking at the little details they fell short. The lampshades were tattered and broken; I didn’t have a light bulb in one of the two lamps (pet peeve). Room service took 3 tries to get what I requested […] (and then blamed it on me because THEY did not ask the right questions). The food on the room service menu was horrible (how do you mess up Queso…….IN TEXAS?). The doors slam and end up waking up the entire hallway. The valet guy picked up my bag and asked “what do you have in here, a dead body??”. The level of professionalism of service staff was not up to par at all. The stay was very nice! Enjoyed the room and the quiet. Wasnt pleased with the confusion of the check in time and reversation made. Was told 12pm was check-in time however would be possible to check-in earlier. Got to the Hotel at 9:30am and was told to come back at noon, due to convention and they where booked. Came back at noon, and was told that […] they where still at copasity and that I wouldnt be able to check-in until 3pm, but I should call to make sure. I was able to check-in at 3 however, I was given the run around and that seemed not professional or right. Especially had I been traveling in from another town and didnt live in DFW. Fifth floor overlooking a/c units were noisy. Room service trays and glasses stayed outside of doors on our floor for a day. Ice machine out of order on floor. "Westin DFW-close to airport"
Hotel was very easy to find. Check in went very smoothly. Our room was clean and everything was in working order. We were only in the room a short time, but we have no complaints whatsoever. "Cockroach in the bathroom..."
When I first arrived everything seem great. Personnel in the front were welcoming and everything seemed good. During the night, I woke up to use the restroom in the room and low and behold, a huge cockroach was on the wall. I took pictures of the roach and immediately went down to the lobby to report it. They gave me another room card to use in the […] morning, but offered nothing to resolve the delima right away. In the morning when I was checking out, I told the manager about the event that had occurred, and she said their was nothing she could do about it. Very in-personal.
