"Very family friendly"
My husband and I both were very pleased with the size and comfort of the room. The pull out sofa bed was not comfortable to sleep in, thankfully it was only a one night stay. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool facility. Thank you for a great night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice place to stay as long as you know the rules"
Once we figured out that they don't do anything but empty trash cans and leave clean, but old towels on the kitchen table for you, we were fine. You have to bring your own soap, etc... unless they happen to have something at the front desk. Otherwise, it was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Avoid. Not a good value or of good quality."
The room smelled, the sink stopper was broken, the view was of a Rock Pile...no kidding. Try to stay in Gatlinburg...much nicer and the rates from what I understand were very competitive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room really needed some cleaning. Everything was dusty and by the nightstand had months and months of dust. Had to unplug light to have a place to plug up phone and it was terrible. Baseboard and behind nightstand had not been cleaned in months. There were also hairs on the bathroom floor. Would not stay there again unless had no other choice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awesome !! Best Get a way Spot"
Rented the King Studio! Room was very spacious!! Wasn't at all what I was expecting ... Far exceeded expectations. Will use this Resort only going forward. Felt very safe at this resort. Felt as though staff was very customer oriented ... Everyone I spoke to was very genuinely concerned to make my trip the best it could be. Called me to ck and make […] sure I was pleased and to see if I needed anything !! One word ~ Awesome !! Will be back !! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The desk associates were terrific. the hotel cleaning staff was less then expected, we had to go to the desk for clean towels, everyday. The list of items included in the kitchen was incomplete and when we went to the desk to ask for a replacement of these items, the ladies were very polite but did not have the needed items. Please don't list that you […] provide something and then fail to provide or even give the customer a way to find the item. We had to go to Walmart and buy it ourselves. "Out of the hustle & bustle but close to everything"
Probably the best place to stay in Sevierville, close to a lot of things to do, eateries and a couple of bars. Lots of amenities and the staff was exceptionalGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing Thank you for taking the time to rate and post your comments regarding your recent stay at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. Our location is one of our greatest assets with us being off the main parkway but so close to all the area offers. We again thank you and hope to see you again soon.
"Will book here again"
My only complaint was the drywall patch in the bathroom. The repair of the drywall above the shower left a bad impression. Otherwise our stay was great. Its close to attractions in Pidgeon Forge. Has a nice indoor and outdoor waterpark.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Convenient and clean. Rooms big which was a plus! No kids so didn't use the water park but looked very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Only stayed 2 days but resort was nice. Only thing we thought needed to be taken care of was hallway carpet had quite a few spills and a few in room. We were on the 5th floor of bldg.1. When you get off elevator and hall looks dirty it kind of turns you off. Pools and indoor water park were nice and play ground for smaller kids. Except for carpet resort […] was pretty nice. "Nice hotel close to food and attractions"
The room was very spacious and comfortable. A deck or balcony would have been nice, but really no complaints.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing Thank you for commenting on your recent stay at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. Our location is a big plus as we are close to everything but off the main Parkway. We have two unit types that do not have balconies, the queen studio and the king/couch studio, but all over our full size condos do include a balcony. Hopefully you will chose to stay in one of these larger units in the future.
"pools and waterslides enjoyable"
our suite was very comfortable. the bathroom could have been better maintained (toilet seat very loose, sink drain slow, floor not too clean).Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing Thank you for commenting on your stay at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. We are glad that you were comfortable and do apologize for the issues with the bathroom. We will have maintenance look into correcting this issue. By you commenting we are able to learn and correct these things before they become a major problem. Again we thank you and look forward to serving your future lodging needs.
"It was ok but the pool attendant was not friendly"
We had fun and the pool was nice. One of the pool attendants was not friendly an blew his whistle every 5 seconds. Overall it was a good clean place to stay.We would enjoy going there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing Thank you for posting your comments regarding your recent stay at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. For clarification; the pool attendants blowing of the whistle is an all clear sign for people waiting to go down the high speed water slides. This means that the previous person has completed going down the slide and is safely out of the way in the splash area. We look forward to your next visit.
This is a nice gettaway. There is plenty to do. Ive enjoyed my self here in servirville tnGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing We are glad you enjoyed your recent visit as The Resort's location puts you close to many of the areas attractions and activities. "Not too bad for one night"
Probably would look around the area for different hotels if I were planning an extended stay.Genuine Expedia guest review

We are glad that you and your family found things to your liking. We have had many positive comments from guests with small children after adding our "Splash & Play" area last year. "Great family spot"
I was pleasantly suprised that it was a 1 bedroom condo. It was perfect for our family and we liked it very much. The surrounding area was a bit of a disappointment - way too over commercialized..but close to the activities in the mountains we wanted.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing We are glad you liked staying with us here at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. First time guest not realizing that our one bedroom units are full condos do receive a pleasant surprise. "AWESOME family vacation!"
The location is just north of the Tanger Outlets and surrounded by several restaurants! We stayed in a one bedroom condo and loved it. I have a 15, 12 and 9 year old who loved just staying all day at the resort utilizing the slides, pools and lazy river (which was simple but effective.) I will go back! We paid a little more than what you would pay for […] a traditional hotel but saved on cooking our own food some in their full kitchen. Can't WAIT to go again! Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent stay at The Resort at Governor's Crossing as you highlighted so many of the amenities we offer. "This really is not a hotel!!"
The entire write up about the hotel does not inform you that they do not provide hotel services such as daily room cleaning or trash pick up. The only thing this place provided was daily towels and half the time they were either on the floor or placed inside the sink. Trash was not picked up for the entire four days we stayed. The water park is a disappointment. […] The room smelled like sewage and the toilet did not want to flush. We also had problems with the phones making buzzing sounds the entire time during our stay and even had to unplug them. The advantage was the hotel did provide coupons for some of the shows and discounts for the winery and some restaurants. They did not provide but two rolls of toilet tissue and one roll of paper towels for the entire stay. Just disappointed in the entire hotel for the money. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing We apologize for your displeasure regarding you recent stay. You are correct, we are not a hotel. The Resort at Governor's Crossing is a condominium complex that unlike many others condos accepts overnight stays, therefore many times it is classified as a hotel. Providing units with average square footage between 700-1100 sq ft., full kitchens and many other amenities we are quite different than most hotels. Again, we apologize for your disappointment.
Great pool and slides for kids 5 and 2. Rooms clean. Staff nice. Awful view from our room of a rock quary and vacant buiilding. Wireless signal extremely weak in our room. Nothing specialGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. We are glad you enjoyed our pools and were happy with our staff. The views here in this area are constantly changing as new construction replaces the old as suitable land is very limited. We are fortunate at The Resort to be within minutes of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, where some of the finest scenery in this part of the country is located.
"Family fun at the resort."
We really enjoyed our stay. Room was very spacious and clean. Kids loved the water park and the cool slides . Resort is very centrally located but also tucked back off the main strip.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing We are glad you enjoyed your recent stay at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. Providing clean, safe and comfortable accommodations in a friendly atmosphere is what we are all about. Having on site amenities and being located close to area attractions and dinning allows more time for guests to having an enjoyable vacation. We hope to see you again in the near future.

"Location of Hotel was great."
I was very disappointed in the condition of the cushion on the bench, it was very nasty. The couch had really bad rips in it that someone had tried to repair, and it looked awful, the couch was very dirty. The chair was beige and it was nasty. We had to cover everything we sat on. I was very disappointed in these thingsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding your recent visit. All furnishings are replaced on a scheduled basis with each year certain items replaced so as to keep the units in up to date condition. If the unit needs special attention we will contact the homeowner and replace damage furnishings ahead of schedule. We will be looking into the unit you stayed in and will take the appropriate measures. Again our sincere apologies and rest assured that this was an isolated instance.
THE DRAINS IN ALL PLUMBING WERE EXTREMELY SLOW. THE ROOM WAS OLD AND DATED LOOKING AND ONLY ONE PICTURE ON THE WALL WITH NO BED SPREAD. THERE WAS NO TV CONTROL AND HAD TO CALL TO GET ONE. NOT ENOUGH ELECTRICAL OUTLETS TO PLUG IN DESK LIGHT AND TV/ DVD. TABLE LAMPS WERE DISCONNECTED AND COULD NOT PLUG IN ONE BECAUSE OUTLET BEHND BED.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment. Every winter and spring The Resort goes through constant upgrades to furnishings, painting, appliances and general maintenance. Recent upgrades included the triple sheeting of beds and using just a partial bed cover instead of a full bedspread. This has become the recent norm in the hospitality industry as many guests prefer this to the old style bed make up. The Resort will continue to strive to meet and exceed current industry standards.
"Families with kids having fun."
We stayed 3 nights and we were woke-up 2 nights around 1:00 a.m. and all four mornings around 7:00 a.m. with slamming doors. Because our room and the one next door had a exact front door . In other words to come into our room you had to come in door A and then door B and the room beside us came in door A also and then they entered door C. They had 3 […] teenagers and they would go out and in. Most of the time there was enough space between them we would hear 6 slams. Also we had to have our reprogramed 4 times so we could get into our room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"1st time guest"
We have stayed in area before and love Tennessee in the summer. This place was very close to everything . The room was exactly as described. We had a balcony and we felt secure. The kids loved the pools & water slides. My teens only complaint was poor wifi/Internet and unable to connect game system to tv. We will come againGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing We thank you for choosing to stay with us here at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. Our location in Governor's Crossing is one of our biggest assets, close to shopping, dinning, activities and entertainment. We will be looking into boosting our Wi-fi signal in the near future. When it was installed most people had 1 or 2 devices per room to connect (which it easily handles) and now guest may have 6-8 devices per unit. Again, we thank you and hope your next trip to Tennessee you will again choose The Resort.
"Great place to bring the kids on vacation!"
We had a lovely time even though it rain almost everyday on our trip. The inside water park was fabulous.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing Thank you for posting your comments regarding your stay here at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. This year has seen much rain to our area, the most in recent memory. Having the indoor waterpark is a great family activity for those bad weather days. Hopefully you will chose to stay with us in the future and the weather will cooperate and allow you to enjoy the outdoor waterpark as well.
The room itself could have been a little cleaner (hair in the tub), but overall it was acceptable. Was not expecting the kitchenette, a pleasant surprise. Seems to be family oriented with small water parks and miniature golf which was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing Thank you for posting your comments regarding your stay at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. We apologize for the instance with the bath tub. "Rated as 4 star hotel but should be condo rental."
We rated this as "disappointing" because this was listed as a 4 star or better hotel but it should be listed as a condo rental. They didn't make the beds or do anything other than empty the waste baskets and provide fresh towels daily. There was a note posted in the room stating that there would be a fee charged if we requested any housekeeping. Never […] heard of a hotel that asked for an additional fee to refresh your room daily. We have no complaints about the staff. They were very friendly. This was a big disappointment because it definitely should not be listed as a hotel/ resort and most definitely NOT 4 star! Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing Thank you for commenting on your recent stay. We are sorry to hear that you feel disappointed. The Resort is listed at 3.5 stars, not four, by Expedia, this based on amenities offered. Many classify The Resort as a hotel due to the fact that many times during the year we accept overnight stays when most condos require multi night stays. In no way did we intentionally try to mislead you.
I have stayed at the resort between 5 and 10 times and enjoyed my stay in the past. This time is a different story. I could not find the remote, no ironing board, bathroom sink stopped up, bed covers and carpet smell and no parking. All this for a price slightly under $300.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Resort at Governor's Crossing We are sorry to hear of your displeasure regarding your recent stay at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. The issues you have brought to our attention are being addressed and corrected. Having stayed with us multiple times in the past you can understand when I saw this is an isolated instance at The Resort. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered and hope that you will reconsider and give us another opportunity to serve your lodging needs when in the area.
"Perfect stay for young children"
We have two year old twins and a 4 year old. We felt that a beach vacation would be too stressful this year, so opted for a smokey mountain getaway. It was the perfect vacation for us at this stage in life! As the kids get older, they will still highly enjoy this facility and it will be our hotel of choice for years to come.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for families traveling with children"
Great for families with children, enjoyed having living rm and kitchen for extra space while traveling with 2 grandsons, indoor and out door water parks both very good our grandsons had a ball after day at Dollywood. Only negative is soap/bath products bad, bring your own. Our 3 year old said yucky soap and it was!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great For The Family"
We particularly enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor waterparks. It was within walking distance of several shopping attractions and restaurants, and convenient to a major red light intersection, but far enough off the Parkway so that we didn't have to deal with all of the traffic and congestion.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
