"KID'S PARADISE"
OUR ROOM WAS VERY SPACIOUS AND VERY CLEAN. THERE WERE SIX OF US AND WE NEVER FELT CROWDED. THE CHILDREN LOVED THE WATER PARK. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED HOW WELL THE SAFETY OF THE CHILDREN WAS WATCHED IN THE WATER AREAS. WE HAD 7 AND 11 YEAR-OLDS. THEY COULD HAVE SPENT ALL THEIR TIME IN THE POOL. "Big rooms, limited services"
There's definitely a condo mentality going on at this hotel. The services are limited, but the rooms are pretty big and definitely comfortable enough for our family of four. It made me a little upset when I went to use the gym at 8:00am to start my day and found it didn't open until 9:00am... I waited, then tried to use the treadmill, which was a discount […] model with a loose belt. I can understand the hotel trying to save money by limiting the housekeeping–not making the bed, not exchanging towels, not empytyinbg the trash–but to not replace consumables like coffee is unacceptable. The advice that I could walk over to the front desk, in a different building, in the rain, is not good. The Resort at Governor's Crossing is a home owner based condominium complex that rents units on an overnight basis. Like most condo/hotels daily housekeeping service is not provided. We offer limited service; the exchanged of used towels and daily trash removal that is collected by the guest. The Resort does not offer a continental breakfast as these units have full kitchens. No where on The Resort's web sites or web sites authorized to list The Resort do we advertise and form of breakfast.
"Great Hotel for Anyone"
We had a wonderful experience. We walked into the room, and were pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean it was. The kitchen was amazing, but there could have been a few more utensils and a bigger trash can. We only went out to eat two times during our whole stay because I was able to cook. We are both 20 though, so for kids it would have been wonderful. The bath tubs are jacuzzi tubs which was also a pleasant surprise. Check in and check out were easy. "Perfect for the Extended Family Vacation"
Kids loved the indoor water park and the pirate ship playground. Adults loved having separate rooms for everyone. It was close enough to everything in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. The shoppers loved the close vicinity to the giant Tanger and the Walmart. The driver loved the easy access back road to Dollywood. The full kitchen with all necessary appliances, […] dishes, pans, and silverware made for some inexpensive meals. The washer and dryer in the room was great! And the price, easily less expensive than getting two hotel rooms, and with the convenience of it being in one condo. My first impression from looking at it outside was it was nice.....then I walked in. Behind the counter were some young folks who were more interested in gossiping to each other rather than greeting me. When I was finally acknowledged at least the young lady that checked me in was somewhat friendly. The green dots all over the lobby are quite confusing […] and really just seem all together out of place. For the price I paid, I expected at least a clean room. The room was dated. We opened the doors to the patio & we were fine.
