We were happy with our three night stay. Traffic was heavy and we saw no nearby fast food places but there was a handy snack bar. The air conditioner was loud but we are not the type people that it bothered. The shuttle was always ready to take us and pick us up from the blue line. "Comfort Inn Alexandria VA--"
I was a bit concerned about booking this hotel after reading other reviews; however, I could not have been more satisfied. Check-in was a breeze and the desk help very efficient. No hassle with the hotels.com reservation--in fact, check-in was as fast as 5 minutes! The room was standard fare and while a bit worn at the edges (This is not a brand new […] hotel!), very comfortable for four adults. When we requested extra towels, they were at our door in minutes. Breakfast was provided each morning and a pool and gift shop were very handy. Perhaps the best feature of all was the hotel shuttle to the nearby Metro station. Very efficient. "Affordable location close to Metro station"
We had to get a different room than our reserved one because the condition of the room mattresses was questionable. The front desk staff stumbled around what to arrange and finally got us another room which was much better. The manager apologized to us and ensured we were taken care of. Overall the customer service provided was good. It was good to […] have shuttle service to the metro along with free breakfast every morning. This particular Comfort Inn seems to be in process of transition, some floors have new furnishings while other floors are still to be transitioned so it will be a bit of a draw as to what you get and whether it meets your expectations. I have stayed at other Comfort Inns in NYC and Boston which are newer and so have better furnishings and indoor pools. Overall the customer service was good and but the furnishings average and the location is convenient as it is close to Metro and the rates are affordable so overall it is good.
