The location was great and the service was fine. We will not be staying there again because the room had stains on the ceiling and carpet and the cleaning service uses such strong smelling chemicals that I had to air out the room before we could stay in the room.

The initial impression of the hotel was that it looked ver run down and needed renovating. Our room was shabby but clean but the bed was very old and sagged badly. The breakfast room was accessed via an outside door so when it rained you would get wet. Breakfast was meager but then again it was free. There was no fridge or microwave (I should have noticed that in the description). Everything was clean however the carpet was very gross. We realised that we had booked a budget hotel when we looked at the rating of the Travelodge in Alexandria and it lived up to its rating. It has seen better years. Having said that, the bathroom and bedroom were reasonably clean and the maid service very good. The price and the location were great. The motel itself was just okay...a bit rundown and shabby. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was better than expected with bagels and cereal, not just sweet rolls. We would stay there again for the cost savings and the convenience.

We stayed for a week. Very close to Reagan Airport, a short walk to bus stops, the Alexandria Trolley, with easy access to the Metro Train System. A grocery store just a block away. When we arrived our room had the air conditioning not working. My husband called services for help and the clerk told us the air had just been inspected. My husband fixed it and cleaned the filter that was grouse (thank God he is very handy). The refrigerator was also not working and the clerk said "put something in it and it will work". Not a fancy place, but for the price, and excellent value. We tried to check in early at 12:00 because of how our day's schedule was, and the manager personally walked to our room to see if it was ready. Unfortunately it was not, so we didn't get checked in till almost 11:00 PM, but since the manager knew we were there is wan't an issue. The location is ideal for the vacationer that wants to experience Historic Alexandria and have easy Metro access to Washington DC. I had read that the hotel needed a little work, and that was true. I did not find the neighborhood bad, in fact, the folks that I saw there seemed to have some pride in their neighborhood, and it was clean,quiet, and I had no worries walking back from the Metro at after 11pm. This hotel was close to the Metro which made visiting DC quite easy, as well as 2 short stops to get to the King St area in Alexandria. There were no other options in this price range that were anywhere near a Metro station, and that was the main factor for me. I was travelling with my 9yr old son and we are on a budget, so cost was our primary concern. Yes the hotel needs some work, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable,and there was AC and Cable TV, coffee and breakfast every morning. That is all I needreally. The price I paid was cheaper by half than anything else I could find that was near Metro, and not having a car made the trip much easier and more affordable. Read more

The service was great, quite clean for an old motel, the carpets were vacuum every day, the beds were done every day, but the mattress might need to be changed because one side is lower then another side, it was a micro, fridge and a coffee machine in the room, and 2 bags of coffee every day. This Travelodge provides very competitively priced accommodation convenient for both the metro and the old part of Alexandria. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance (for us, anyway) and the neighbourhood felt safe. The decor of the room was a bit tatty around the edges but overall it was pretty good: no complaints. There was some traffic […] noise, but not enough to disrupt our sleep. Hotelの部屋は広くて良いのですが、ﾁｮｯﾄ古いな。が 第一印象です。Washingtonに行く地下鉄の駅まで」徒歩10分なのでWashingtonへ観光に行くなら立地条件は良い。車でもそれ程時間は掛からないと思いますが、 朝が通勤ラッシュで渋滞しています。 近隣にある飲食店は閉店時間が早く、飲食街に行くにも一方通行が多く、道路も複雑で尚且つ路上駐車が多い場所もある為、初めて行く人には難しい所もあるので注意して下さい。
