"Hampton in Old Town Alexandria, close to DC"
Great place to stay. Free shuttle to metro, Old Town Alexandria, and the airport. Everyone was so friendly and took care of everything. Breakfast was great, included in the price. Variety daily. Room service was excellent. I would stay there again when in the DC area. The shuttle made it easy to get around without renting a vehicle and driving in the […] DC area. Shuttle drivers very courteous. Always available for taking you to a place, and then picking you up. Never waited more than 20 minutes for the longest pick up. "Hampton Inn Old Town - Not the best location"
This hotel has a great breakfast with many choices. You can choose between eggs, pork sausage, bacon, juices, cold cereals, yogurts, pastries, fresh fruits, etc. You can even make your own fresh waffles. On the down side, the location is not the greatest. It only has 1 one restaurant within walking distance and it's dangerous to get to. The van will […] take you to the Metro station, Alexandria Old Town, and the airport. Our room was nice but the clock light was broken and the shower curtain rail was loose at the wall attachment points and sagged a bit.
