I was worried about it being clean after reading reviews, but was surprised that it was clean and comfortable. But they have STILL not fixed one elevator so there is only one, the wait can be long at times. The beds were comfortable, but the tv didn't work, it was fuzzy. None of the channels came in clearly. "Very nice for the price"
The room was very clean and in great shape. Only drawback was the shuttle to/from the metro. This hotel and the one next door share a shuttle. The last return shuttle leaves the metro station at 8:15 pm. At that time, we had the five of us and found out that there were 8 people from the other hotel waiting for the same 10 passenger van. When we asked […] if the van could return and pick up the rest of us, we were told that his was the last van. So we all piled in and sat on each other, on the floor, etc to fit in the van. It's less than a 10 min drive, they could have made another trip. Would have been very unsafe if we had been in an accident. Some of the other in the van were elderly. The driver dropped us all off at the confor inn and the elderly ladies had to walk across the parking lot to the day's inn. Would have only taken him a few seconds to swing around to thier hotel. The night manager was very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was that one of the elevators was not working causing people to have use stairs carrying luggage. Recommeded to this hotel 4 years ago by a local hospital when in DC on an emergency. Went back to visit colleges in the area with my son and very satisfied with our stay. Hotel and room very clean and comfortable and the staff was great. They were very helpful and friendly. Shuttle driver effecient and on time. The front desk person was very nice and upgraded me to a room with a king-sized bed. The only problem was, there was a distinctive odor of cat urine in that room.
