"Just a Step above Camping Out"
I was very surprised by the lack of amenities in this hotel -- no shampoo, blow dryer, etc. -- and the room was dirty. There were hairs in the bathroom and unwashed silverware in the kitchenette. "Satisfied with last minute getaway"
This was the 2nd time I stayed here and I was pleased again! Staff was very, very friendly (as always). Room was very clean & comfortable. Had a couple of loud (apparently intoxicated) men being loud in the hall & slamming doors but eventually it quieted down. "nice hotel--good for longer stay"
The hotel is nice and clean. The only complaint I would give is that the fridge in our room was not cooling at all. I informed about it at the front desk twice but they did not send anyone to fix it. i checked in late after driving up from new orleans, there was no one to let me in the door. i had to call the corporate office 1-800 number and then they had to call the front desk to let me in. i was literally standing outside wit hmy bags for 15 minutes at midnight waiting for someone to open the locked doors. pretty bad for business in my opinion. I've stayed here twice and I actually think it got better the second time. Last time I informed them that the non-smoking floor smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The manager apologized and said they were working on preventing people from smoking. I can't remember if I stayed on the same floor, but this time the non-smoking floor smelled clean. Location was okay and lobby looked recently renovated but this was the dirtiest hotel room I've ever seen. Shower and toilet had quite obviously not been cleaned after previous guest and the smell of cigarette smoke in room was unbearable. Neighborhood is fine, it's just awkward to sometimes have to make a U-turn to reach hotel when coming from one direction. Several restaurants nearby. Cleanliness is good but housekeeping is iffy: sometimes there are towels, sometimes not.
