"Shocked"
I called the front desk for a late check out but when thy informed me that check out was for noon I really didn't have to request one. So while I was wrapping up some work before checking out the housekeeper walks in (a do not disturb sign was on the door) so I let her know I was in the room. This was about 945am, then about 1015 she slides a note under […] my door stating " you will have to tip me if you stay past noon, I'm supposed to have these rooms cleaned before 11am"! "Noisy room"
My stay was okay except it was in Room 108 which is right next to the front lobby. I could hear the TV going on all night. Please turn off or lower the volume on the tv at nights. "Hotel was very clean, EXCEPT the carpet"
The room was clean in every way, but the carpet was BLACK. The bathroom was clean, sheets were clean, and the furniture was too. If you walked without shoes for 5 minutes, you feet would be black from dirt. If these people would spend the money to steam clean the carpets, it would be a nice hotel. I have stayed at this hotel before and I was really pleased with the service and the staff is always nice and welcoming. I must say though, my room this particular time was not as clean as the other rooms I had stayed in. I think they could use some remodeling on the first floor. The best thing about this hotel was the friendly staff, especially Pearl, the morning breakfast hostess. She was very kind and welcoming. As far as the hotel, when we arrived after a 12 hr. drive, the reservation for the room was not accurate, plus one of the two rooms had a horrible smoke odor but was a "non-smoking" room. After complaining, the staff […] member graciously got us moved the next morning, although the attendant said that he should not have done that.
