Was in town for a conference at the Regency, which looked to have a bit more character, but Hampton Inn was just fine for what I needed. Clean, comfortable, convenient to downtown. Just nothing special about it.

This is a new hotel and it shows. It was very clean and the staff was very attentive. The breakfast was wonderful. A great way to start a day. The only drawback was that there was no hot tub but the pool was nice and clean. Enjoy!

Love this place now standing where the old Jordan's Meats used to be. Great staff, clean, comfortable, a shower head for tall people with great water pressure. Nice full breakfast spread each morning. Would most definitely stay here again.

I thought that the front desk and management staff were wonderful. I do think that the valet should be instructed to help the guests get their luggage out of their cars rather then stand and watch us get it out of the cars. I smashed my hand getting my suitcase out of my car and the valet just stood there and watched. My son (who was not with me when […] I checked in) asked the desk why the valet did not assist me with my luggage and they told him it is not policy. My thought is that any man who stands their and watches an older woman struggle with luggage should be ashamed of himself. If that is the policy of your hotel, it needs to be changed as it is not a good service policy. They did assist me with the luggage when I checked out. The room was spotless upon arrival. Read more

The swimming is very small, don't trust the pictures. Location is central and convenient but there is no harbor view from the hotel, which is next to some parking lots. The $15 parking was dissapointing, there was plenty of parking around and the fine for getting a ticket is $10. oh well no biggie. The room was well laid out. We didnt get the good nights sleep we were looking for. the heating system was having issues. We turned the heat down 6 times and it kept getting hotter and dryer. In the end we turned the shower […] on for humidity and turned the AC on to get the room bellow 75. After a so-so breakfast we complained, they said thanks and sorry. I would not have been upset but there was a big sign saying that if i wasnt satified id get the room at no charge etc. oh well. if it was an under $75/night place no worries but at close to $150 i expected more. We had a wonderful trip to Portland, and comfortable relaxing stay at the Hampton Inn. The staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are generously appointed with plenty of towels, and a large bathroom, beds are clean soft and fresh with white sheets and duvets, and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. There is also a mini fridge and microwave in room, […] so stock up on snacks! A fabulous Whole Foods is a 2 min drive away. Hot breakfast was definitely sufficient. Pool is small but nice, clean, water is salted and not too chlorinated. Some of Portland’s highly regarded restaurants are literally within steps of this hotel too...Duckfat, Eventide Oyster Co. Stayed overnight with my husband and friends (another couple) - room with 2 queen beds was MASSIVE! We were going on the Brewbus tour; pickup is right outside the hotel which worked perfectly. Walking distance to old port.

Hotel staff was courteous and the rooms were clean and quiet. I was able to park the car for the whole weekend and walk just about everywhere. It does not mention it on the website and it was an added plus that there is The Sebago Brewing company on site for drinks and food!!

Nice, updated hotel with a small but warm pool. Paying for parking is not ideal, but we parked on the street to save some $$ and had no problems. Sebago Brewing's restaurant on-site was really good - would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Portland for one night after Thanksgiving. It was very convenient to downtown Portland, and the room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable, nice mattress and nice sheets. We will definitely stay at this hotel on our next trip to Portland!

Great stay. Room was very spacious and comfortable. The only thing I did not like was not being able to park your car. Valet service only. Was an additional $15. They do park your car in the lot. We were able to see the car from our window. Just seemed ridiculous to have a valet service. Other than that everything was great!

Worderfull hotel, clean, comfortable and very close to city center. You can park for free your car in front of the hotel or in the city center from 6 p.m to 9 a.m! I love Portland and also this hotel!!

Lovely room, new building, all good. Only surprise was that parking in the hotel lot was Valet-only, and an additional $15 per day. Only other choice was off site (I chose this Hotel as it seemed to have it's own parking - I should have asked). Staff was all top drawer, and the included breakfast is super!
