"Elegant Old Hotel in a Great Location"
So happy to see that a hotel still offers some free stuff - two waters in the room - complimentary. Coffee delivered to your room in the morning - complimentary. "Great Spot to Stay In Portland!"
We were delighted with the Portland Regency Hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel has great character and is in a perfect spot to walk to many wonderful restaurants in Portland. Beautiful historic hotel. May not work for you if you're tall! The ceilings are low in the hallways but especially low in the shower, if you were 6ft, you'd have to duck! Great hotel in a great location in the Old Port section of downtown Portland. The spa located in the hotel is superb with an oversized coed Jacuzzi (type) pool. My husband and I wanted to be downtown, but not in a chain hotel or motel. The idea of getting around on foot was very appealing. The city's best restaurants were a short walk from the Regency. Also in walking distance were the waterfront, the Victoria Mansion, the Portland Museum of Art, and the boyhood home of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
