"We don't like it"
Actually the room is fine. But when we get in the room, we heard noise from ceiling like a electric fan or something else with 50-60 Hz frequency. We asked to change to another room, but that room has same problem. That noise bothered us during night sleeping.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The Travelodge ain't what she used to be. The accomodations are adequate for one night but not for more. Everything is run down and just old (beds, furniture, toilet seat, etc.). We enjoyed our 2 nights staying in travelodge hotel. It was clear, we had air-conditioning for the hot weather, a good service overall and a very good breakfast included with our room. The staff didn't know what she was doing and eventually gave one guest a maids pass key because she couldn't figure out how to give them a specific room key that worked. This caused some people in line to leave since this one couple now had access to all rooms. There was mildew and mold in the bathroom, probably because the fan didn't work. "Very nice"
After reading some of the reviews on here, i was reluctant to book here, but it fit my budget so I did. I am glad that I did because I was very happy with everything. We hit a lot of traffic so we didn't check in until 3am. There were other people also checking in. The woman behind the counter was very nice. The room was clean. "Will do in a pinch"
This was the only hotel in the Portland area that had availability due to Maine Campers "parents weekend". It was easy to find & the gentleman at check-in was really nice. He was able to meet our request for a non-smoking room, but was unable to get us a cot for either night. They eventually booked full and we had a loud group of people that had been […] drinking that ended up on one side of us and directly above us, yelling back & forth to each other all night- the rooms were direct entry from outside, so when one above us got sick over the railing it was there to greet us and our kids the following morning. (Not the hotels fault as we didn't report it). The pool was nice, but be careful as there is a curve on the cement as it connects to the pool that I injured my foot on. (I didn't report it to the hotel as it was mostly my fault, but the cement is all one color & it was hard to see the curve of it). At check in the staff at the front desk was very nice. Lobby was what I expected. Room was also what I expected for the cheap price we paid. An absolutely unacceptable thing occured. My husband found a used needle wedged up in the bathroom light fixture. When we went to the front desk at night about it, the woman was so rude and nasty to us. She was […] basically accusing us of putting it there. When a manager/maintenance man came to the room to take it away, he was very nice. He said we would receive cash back upon checking out. "Improvements needed in the service"
Overall the hotel stay was so-so, but the bath tub was not cleaned properly. The toilet nearly backed up a couple of times while we were there; they need to update that system. They provided a breakfast every morning which was really nice, but the circuit breaker kept shutting off when both the toaster and the microwave were running at the same time. […] The electrical system needs to be updated to resolve that problem. Our room was in the front section of the hotel nearest the street and there was a lot of noise at night because of the traffic. Maybe something can be done to soundproof those street-facing rooms. The carpets in the common areas need to be replaced. They were extremely dirty.
