"Incredibly out of date"
There was a serious mainteance issue the entire time we stayed-buckets all over the lobby catching dripping water from the ceilings-and not a single note or apology from the staff about appearance. It smelled terrible in the entire hotel. The gym was under renovation and not open. Everything about this place was 10-20 years out of date and in desperate […] need of a serious cleaning. "NEVER AGAIN"
Booked 2 rooms for graduation weekend (the first 5 hotels I tried for were booked solid). Arrived at 2:30 for 3:00 check in. Told 1 room was ready. 4 of us went into that room to wait. We traveled 4 1/2 hrs. and had to shower and dress for College ceremony that started AT 5. No iron in room; had to request one. After 4 attempts to get the 2nd booked […] room (it was now 4 pm; which at 3:00 we were told that 4:00 is the "guaranteed" check in time) we asked the rude gentleman at the desk to get a manager. FINALLY got the room at 4:10. Rug was soaked on 1 side of the room, hair on pillows, not to mention the cobwebs in the closet when we attempted to hang our clothes, and, AGAIN, no iron. There was next to no toilet paper and kleenex out. The first room had a plugged drain so when you showered, it contiuously filled. Upon returning from the ceremony, we had to ask for an additional keycard, as one of them didn't work. Only an apology was given by the Manager and no attempt to make any adjustments on the room(s). "Clarion Hotel Portland"
We will NEVER stay at this hotel again!!!!! We trusted your website as we had done previously but this one failed. The hotel was located behind a gas station and the surrounding area did not appear to be very safe. The elevator getting to our room was hardly big enough for my husband and I with two pieces of luggage and it was filthy. Entering our room […] we could smell a stingy odor which lingered throughout the room. The room did not appear very fresh or clean. The tub did not drain as we stood in water up to our knees while taking a shower. The toilet did not flush and smelled of sewer. We were miserable!!! "Didn't care for this hotel"
I guess it was a room for the night. Not near center of Portland kind of out of the way if you want to be near the docks. Room was clean, wall paper peeling, light near my door was missing cover, someone dropped iron on flor and burned carpet. Was a alot of noise that night at Hotel. Will never stay there.
