"Horrible Smell"
Not sure if it was to mask a smell or just a lousy air freshener used in the rooms, but it STUNK BAD! Thought it was only our room, but the neighboring rooms ALL had their doors open to let fresh air in. Our window was stuck so we couldn't open a window & joined in the "open door" gang. I would never stay in this motel again. It was out of date, smelled old, bedding was very old, bed was hard as a rock so sleep terrible. We both felt something crawling on us in bed. We had stayed in this hotel a few years back and did not have a problem. We went to visit a family member in the military there. Didn't have much of a notice that he was going to be there so I just booked this one because of our previous stay. This time totally different story. The carpet on the floors was molded. See above. Seems to be some renovation going on. But clerk never got off his seat to register us, was reluctant to offer dining recommendation or touring advice. When asked about problems connecting to wifi, told me the lights were lit on the routers and repeaters, and could offer no assistance. With plenty of vacant rooms, we were assigned a room directly […] across from an overfull dumpster reeking with garbage. We had to hold our breath between the car and the room. It was better after the garbage truck came the next morning. Breakfast consisted of breads and small sweet rolls. No fruits it juices or meats or eggs. "Not worth the investment"
My husband and I were thoroughly dissapointed with this property. Upon arrival, we waited in line to check-in. The clerk was the only one behind the counter and he was on the phone assisting someone for 10-15 minutes with three other couples standing in line behind us. Once he got off the phone he was very nice and quickly checked us into our room. […] We drove around, parked our car, opened the door to our room and were surprised by how gloomy, stale - with a hint of Fabreeze - and out of date the decor was. The room was clean, but the bathroom door appeared to have the name "Julie" was here keyed into it. The door had a 1/2 inch gap around it with yelling kids runnng back and forth every couple of minutes. We looked around for about 30 minutes and decided we would rather drive home that night than stay there and be uncomfortable all evening.
