"might stay again"
The hotel was nice and clean. The WIFI was dismal. We asked the front desk attendant if there was wifi and he said yes. When we couldn't get service in our room, he said "try all of the daysinn ports". We did and then we got booted off every 5 minutes. Not bad for free I guess. Then he said the hot tub and pool were open. Hot tub was 75 degrees and […] pool was about 60. Understandable for the outdoor pool in Texas. But took 5 hours to get hot tub up to 87 degrees. we won't do that again. The breakfast was good but not stocked enough because 10 people wiped it out of all 10 mini sausage biscuits and 5 Danish. When we brought up the wifi on checkout, the attendant just told us that we didn't sign on right. Oh well. you get what you paid for right? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Didn't have reserved rooms"
The hotel didn't reserve the size beds and smoking preference we requested. Tried to give us a smoking room and king bed instead of non-smoking/2 queen room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Suprise nice but disapointed"
The room was very clean and priced very reasonable. I was disapointed when I check in around 9:30pm I founded the back door was propped open we removed the brick holding the door open. When we left in the morning the door was propped open again. It is a safety issue.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My family spent three nights here. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay! The location is very convienient, right by a few stores to get things you may have forgotten. The only downside was the neighbor motel (seemed a little sketchy). The room was very spacious, breakfast was pretty good. I would definitely recommend, you get more than what you […] paid for. "A weekend getaway!"
I arrived early on Saturday evening and they didn't have the room I ordered/paid for but they have a room for me. It was nice but the rest was fair. Pool looked dirty and the kids and I didn't swim in it' next weekend getaway will not be spent here.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ok for the price"
My only issue with the hotel was there was a very strange smell in the hotel and the hotel rooms. I can't put my finger on what it was... but it was not pleasant. We kept our room window open all the time, and by the end of our four-day stay, I didn't notice the smell so muc h. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and coffee in the lobby all day long. I had […] little contact with the hotel staff but when I did, they were helpful - not overly friendly but helpful nonetheless. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decently priced and not far from everything."
You really do get what you pay for. I was specifically looking for something that was decently priced, and this was in my range. It was easy enough to find, and the hotel is much better than any other Days Inn I've ever been to. Continental breakfast included in your room pricing, and it is ok. Staff left something to be desired, were frequently missing […] from the front desk, and weren't very helpful; except the housekeeping staff, they're great :) and go out of their way to make your stay the best that they can. Overall, compared to other hotels I've stayed in, this rates towards the bottom, but compared to others of like value, it's better than others that are in the area. "Nice place for price"
The hotel and rooms were very clean and well maintained. But service was another issue. I was left waiting at the counter for over 15 minutes before a desk clerk came to check me in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Could be better, could be worse."
Our stay was in April the pool was ready but the hot tub was not heated which was separated from the pool by a wall. Had the hot tub been heated, the pool might have been warmer. The breakfast was OK except for the fact that not much was restocked. Security at this hotel would be better if the other exit doors could be accessed with your room key. Since […] this was not done, people would prop the door open which I think allowed people from adjacent properties to sneak in for the breakfast. One of our bedspreads had a hole in it and should have been replaced. Carpet had a stain from something spilled on it. A fruit loop was on the floor by the AC/heater, eventually it was found. If noise bothers you, there is a train track close by, garbage is picked up at 6am. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great staff, hard bed"
I stayed here one night because I work close by and didn't feel like commuting after visiting friends in Dallas (I live an hour away). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room were clean and smelled nice. The complaint I have is about the bed, it was as hard as a rock! It had no cushion to it whatsoever. I would not stay here again […] just because of that... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Get what you pay for"
A decent hotel stay for the price. Plenty of offerings at the breakfast buffet, athough nothing fancy. Muffins, breads, boiled eggs, hot/cold cereals, coffee, juices, etc. The locations is better suited to business trips, as there is nothing nearby walkable except a gas station convenience store across the road. If you have a car it is easily accessible […] to major roadways. I'd say I got what I paid for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

There were stains on the curtains, carpets, and 2 of our pillow cases. Besides that the room was clean. The air conditioning works very well. The breakfast is nothing special. After the first morning, we decided to go to McDonalds for breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not recommended for more than one night!!"
I stayed one night at this hotel and I dont think I would of payed one more night....there was a strong musty odor through out the whole building mainly the first floor..I asked for a non-smoke room and the clerk said they were all smoke free and my room smelled like cigarettes. Overall I recommend it for a one night stay not more than that because […] the smell will get to you after a while....the only good thing I can say breakfast was good....there was a wide variety of items... ""ok for the price I GUESS!!!"
I booked a 2 night stay. The staff was great. The room on the other hand, not so great. The sofa was severly stained, the sheets were stained, I slept on top on the blanket underneath the comforter. "out in the middle of nowhere"
The room was a good room, but the pool was very dirty and the maintinance of the hotel was very poor. The map showed that there was a shopping center right by the hotel. It was closed so there was almost nothing around except the cheap hotel next door and the train that went by within 100 yards of the building.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay room for an affordable price."
For the price and location I got exactly what I paid for. It isn't extravagant, it is just a place to spend the night and shower before I hit the road. :)Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK but not great"
When we arrived we were disappointed to see that the pool was closed...and remained closed for all of the time we were there except for one half day. We questioned if this was a seasonal issue, but we were surprised that the pool remained closed even when temperatures reached 90 degrees. We were also disappointed to learn that we could not get internet […] anywhere in our room except right beside the door, which was extremely uncomfortable for us considering that we were in town to look for jobs and find housing and the internet was a major part of that search. Also, the fire alarm went off one evening during our stay, which was extremely upsetting to us. We went downstairs to find out what was going on, and were told "Everything is fine" but were given no other explanation. This is of greater concern to my husband and I as we survived an apartment fire that destroyed everything we owned in 2010. We spent the rest of the evening wondering if the alarm would go off again and if we were really safe. On more than one occasion, we had problems with the side entry. Either our key card would not work, or the door was not closing properly which allowed anyone to enter. For the most part, the hotel was very clean. We witnessed the housekeepers cleaning in our room and in the lobby, and they seemed to do a very good job; bed linens were changed daily and we had pleanty of towels. "Days Inn Garland - nice enough for short stay"
The room was in good shape and had plenty of space. I really appreciated having the mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The shower temp and water pressure were both good. Unfortunately, the bed was too firm for our taste, and the pillows provided, although there were multiple to choose from, were almost all flat and thin. And the toilet seat really […] needed to be better secured. The location next to train tracks was not ideal, although access to the highway was convenient. The breakfast options were varied and decent, though not great, and the orange juice tasted a little like orange-flavored drink. Also, the ice machines did not work. The Wi-Fi in the rooms was very spotty, but the provided cable for an Ethernet line worked fine. Even with all the negatives, the Hotels.com room rate was good for the accommodations provided, and it was acceptable for 2 nights' stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Days Inn Garland- gross"
We booked a smoking room, and upon opening to door, we were blasted with stale cigarette smell, like they hadn't opened a window in years. And I understand that it's going to smell like smoke being a smoking room and all, but this was down right ridiculous! There was a patched hole that went through the wall into the bathroom. The toilet seat was held […] on by one bolt, so every time someone sat down it shifted out from underneath them. There was mold in the shower, our tv was fuzzy and the batteries were dead to the remote, when we went down to have them exchanged, the guy said he was out of batteries. He reluctantly found an empty room that he could take batteries from. It was a bad stay to say the least, and I will definitely spend more money for a better quality hotel next time! I booked a king, but got 2 queens. Not fancy, but room was clean and comfortable. Neighborhood OK. WiFi wouldn't connect for me. Front desk got me connected, but by the time I got back to my room it booted me off and I couldn't get back on. There was a courtesy computer in the lobby, so I used it. "Bad News Good News"
Hotel over booked their rooms. When we arrived, we were told they did not have a room despite having a reservation and that I should have been notified that morning of the problem. When I produced my confirmation notice he said the some of their quests extended their stay. I stated that my reservation was made more than a week in advance. The clerk […] then said that he may have a room and that we could have it as long as house keeping had finished cleaning the room. He indicated that several other potential guests (implied with reservations) had to be turned away. To make a long story short we got the room. The room was clean, ready to occupy, and met our expectations. The only other issue of note was that the continental breakfast was not ready as advertised. We had to wait with another hotel guest while the morning clerk prepared everything. Recommend you double & tripple check your reservation if you decide to stay here. "Great price - hard beds!!"
This hotel has great access to the highway system. Our biggest complaint was how hard the beds were. Very uncomfortable. There were a few maintenance issues that could have been addressed, but overall not a bad stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
I stayed with my 3 children and a friend for a Taekwando Tournament and had to get the room last minute. The price was great and the room and staff was acceptable. What made this stay interesting on a Friday night was the extra activity that was occurring around in the halls. A third degree black belt staying with me made me actually fall asleep. If […] it was me staying without my children this would have not been much of a concern. Therefore if you are not bringing children then I would reccommend the hotel. An extra note, about the breakfast at the hotel, my children an myself thought is was great. Make your own waffles and sausage biscuits got us already to side kick our opponents. That was a highlight of the stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Though the pool was closed when we arrived (and then reopened later that night), we had to ask at reception for room towels and the wifi was unavailable, the breakfast was good and the neighborhood was safe.
