"Poor Excuse for a Hotel"
Arrived about 8:30 pm and was told by front desk clerk that I had no reservation and they were full - he checked twice. I began to get very unhappy and showed him my Expedia confirmation on my Android. He still told me sorry. Then I happened to mention in leaving I had called and requested a handicap room...and all of sudden he remembered that he had […] already charged the room out. Also, remote was dead and required new batteries. Comp breakfast was terrible with stale sweet rolls and no OJ. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"do not stay here!"
Initially when I arrived I noticed the hotel was RIGHT next to a railroad. I parked and went in and the front desk attendant was on his cell phone. He NEVER got off his phone and carried on a lengthy conversation in his native language. Not until I asked him was the railroad active, did he put his call on hold. He informed me that the railroad line […] was hardly used and that the hotel was pretty sound-proof so it shouldn't be much of a disturbance. This was a LIE!! There was a train that passed at least twice an hour and it was VERY noticeable to say the least! I called down and asked was there a quieter room available and was told that the hotel was booked but that I could be first thing the next morning. I was moved to another room that was in fact a LITTLE better but with how loud the doors to each room slam shut,, it was just as bad. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel stays of my life! "REALLY BAD SMELL IN LOBBY!!!!"
This hotel has a great price, perfect location if your trying to be central garland, although the lobby is so irratating it smells horriable. If they worked on that it would be the perfect hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bad air conditioner"
My room's air conditioner kept breaking down, especially at night. My room was usually much warmer than the hall on my floor. I asked at least three times to have it fixed, but it kept breaking down until I checked out. This bad AC made it hard for me to sleep at night. Also, the breakfast drink machines (orange juice, etc.) put out product that was […] warm and tasted like the nozzles hadn't been cleaned in some time. I don't think I will book this hotel again in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Less than average hotel"
They had bed bugs and the fan was not operational in the bathroom, it smelled mildewy, the staff was rude and when I paid for another night they checked out my room and I had someone come into the room while I was sleeping in the middle of the night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Poor conditions"
The first thing we see when we walked into our room was a cockroach on the wall by the bed. The sheets and pillowcases were stiff and scratchy, the room just had very used look and feel. I guess you get what you pay for so....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ice machine broke!"
I wasn't very happy that the ice machines were broke and there was no way to get ice. The hotel staff didn't seem to be too concerned. Also, the bed was a little hard. The cranberry juice at breakfast was red-colored water. Awful! Okay place to stay otherwise I guess.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Breakfast is a joke...go across st. to McD....dont waste ur time. Bed is hard as a rock. Plus side is great rate. Kjust dont expect too muchGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Unpleasant Workers, rude and not prepared ."
Some of the workers was rude especially when you needed tissue, breakfast items, towel, etc. Another couple my family stayed at the hotel. We chose to hotel and stayed three days. The rooms looked nice but there was a musty odor was throughout the hotel. Some the employees would not assist the customers, when other would not. When asking for supplies […] they ignored you or snapped at you. We loved the price, but the attitude of the employees are important. Some of the Desk Clerks were nice. "You get what you pay for..."
This is a VERY bare bones hotel. You do get what you pay for, but the couches in the lounge area are threadbare, the comforter had holes in it, clearly repairs had been made to the bathroom but were of poor workmanship....etc. Also, the train runs right threw there backyard, which is loud and annoying. Don't book here if you can't sleep with loud noises […] at 1 AM. It is inexpensive though, if you are on a seriously low budget. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Run Down & Bad Location"
The hotel is tucked away in a questionable part of town next to some factories. Worst of all, it is right beside a train track that seems to run all night! The bed was horribly lumpy and uncomfortable and our air conditioner was working/not working the whole stay. Several cleaning/maintenence issues were evident as well - I never felt comfortable putting […] my bare feet on any of the floors. I wouldn't stay here again and cannot honestly recommend it to others. Even for the price, better hotels are available. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Scary"
When I arrived, the front office people were friendly, but after that, it was all down hill. I needed the room to get away from my family so that I could write a paper. I had problems connecting to the internet, so I called the front desk for help. The man on the phone said he would look into it and give me a call back. He never called back. When […] I went to take a shower. I grabbed a folded towel that looked just like the others, but it had nasty dried brown crust all over it. I could hear the person in the room next door all night who sounded like they were dying from emphysema and the people from the hotel next door who were fighting and cussing. I was supposed to be there for 2 days, so I put up the "do not disturb" sign. The maids tried to come in anyway and asked if I paid for the two days. They were pretty rude. Furthermore, either someone got the wrong room and tried to enter or someone tried to break into my room. Either way, thank God I used the metal latch at the top to block people from coming in even if they have a key. I didn't feel safe in this place and the service wasn't good, so I left early. Bed was plywood on top of concrete. Pillows where bags of sand. So unhappy with sleeping which is the only reason we stopped there. Could not go on. "Non smoking room some how smells like ash tray"
Our room was not very clean, from the dirty light switches in bath room to the overwhelming smell of smoke in the non smoking room. Very displeased! Would have asked to be relocated but we were too busy and tired and just wanted to rest before our long drive home. This will definitely keep us from returning to this location and prob any Days Inn for […] future visits to the Dallas area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"If noise doesn't bother you, ..."
The motel and staff were excellent, but, alas, their friendliness and efficiency were outweighed (in our opinion) by the noisiness of the location. We had to leave early and found a quieter location out of town. So, if urban noise doesn't bother you, this is a great, convenient place to stay in the north-east Dallas area--especially considering the […] very reasonable rates we snagged through expedia. "Not the way to impress your guests"
My door deadbolt did not work, was reported and was never repaired in two days. Desk staff was more interested in talking on their cell phones than doing their jobs. Sunday breakfast was out of several food and drink items at 8:00am and staff made no attempt to resupply. All the tables were dirty and the trash can was over flowing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bad from the start!!!!"
When we arrived at the hotel the guy checking us in informed me that they did not have the room I booked available. Was very rude about it also. Told me that he would let me have a roll away bed at no additional cost. We checked in at 2:30 and the roll away bed did not arrive in the room until after 10:30 that night. I went down at 8:00 pm to ask where […] it was and was told that it would be right up. At 10:30 my wife went down to the front desk to ask again. When she arrived at the front desk the clerk was sitting on the counter bare footed eating pizza. He told my wife that he had just called our room and that no one answered. The phone had not rang. All of this happened after we had arrived back at the hotel around 9:30 pm from going out to eat. Which at this time we were harassed by a prostitute in the parking lot. The next morning my daughter and I were going to go swimming. WRONG!! The pool was nasty with all kinds of trash floating in the water. Room service never changed or cleaned the room the two nights that we stayed as well. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Asked for King Size and got two queen"
This hotel's best thing is the price, but other than that not very good. City of Garland closed the pool because not good mix of chemicals, however instead of fixing the pool management just keeps it closed (less expensive). I reserved the room 2 weeks ahead of time and still had to wait 30 minutes so they make sure the room is ready.Genuine Expedia guest review

"STAY AWAY"
The trip that lead us to Days Inn was a semi-last minute planned trip for two college kids. The price range was great for just the two of us, but the service didn't match the price. It failed to mention that there was a train that traveled next to the hotel and that the local Daisy Dairy plant was right next door- making traffic a nightmare. This part […] of town was also very trashy. The hallways smelt of laundry detergent and the stairwells wreaked of spoiled food and had holes punched into the wall. The front desk couldn't speak English, they did confirm my request for 2-queen beds but gave me a room with 1-king. We had to complain to get it fixed. The bathtub had mold growing all around it and the housekeeping clearly hadn't cleaned because long strands of hair were in the tub before either of us had showered. Now I wish we had paid the money to stay at the Hampton Inn, we have never had problems there. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
