"Ok for a stopover"
We stayed here for a night prior to a cruise. It was a convenient location to the cruise terminal and local shops to buy liquor for our trip. As for the hotel itself, the room smelled funny but the sheets and bed were decent and the room was very clean. Clean and adequate - we were staying there the night before we were going on a cruise. Just wish they had told us that shuttle reservations needed to be made in advance along with our room reservation as there were no shuttle departure times left on our arrival the night before. "Mediocre at best"
They said on the site that they provided shuttle to and from the airport. When I got to the airport I was told that I had to call in advance to arrange the pick up. Also, the next morning they were using the shuttle from 9 to 2 to shuttle guest to the cruise terminal only, not where I needed to go. I had to get a cab both ways. When opening the room […] door I found that my room was already occupied. I'm glad I didn't walk in while "special activities" were going on. "A little good, a little bad"
Good: location, location! Close to stores, shops, restaurants within walking distance. Also staff very helpful, gave us free drink tickets for Bimini Boatyard and other recommendations. Bad: I called 2 days ahead to confirm that a shuttle would pick us up at airport. When we got in at 6:30pm, we were told no shuttle or wait 45 minutes. We took a taxi. To their credit, the front desk staff on the AM of checkout was very receptive to my receiving faxes and holding them for me when a sudden urgent situation arose. "Convient location"
Prior to arrival, I contacted the hotel to make arrangement for cruise port pick up as stated in their description. I was informed the hotel was simply not able to provide this service because of the large number of people coming off the cruise ships. When I persisted because of the description provided that the cruise port pickup was stated to be complimentary, […] the hotel manager finally offered to reimburse me for taxi fare which he honored. However, over the next couple days, I heard many other people at the desk complaining about the same misinformation. I think the hotel description should be amended to state the correct information. We were offered and received airport shuttle service. The hotel had at least two vans available for shuttle services, I do not know why cruise port pick up was such a major inconvenience to them. "Stayed there because of cruise port service"
Needed a place to stay due to cruising the next day. Shuttle service from airport only runs until 10:30 which we knew in advance. Unfortunately, we landed about 10:30 and not done until 11:00. Took a taxi which cost about $18 with tip. Very efficient and friendly check-in. The room had a double bed, was clean but quite dated and "blah" looking. But […] it was for only a short time. Coffee and muffins were provided in the morning. Was close to a couple of shopping malls which we were able to walk to and the area was just fine -- full of hotels...
