The lobby looks like a flee market liquer store. It's obviously a place that out of town contractors send their employees to stay. Drinking and smoking in the parking lot seems to be a major source of pleasure. The toilet had not been cleaned, the coffee pot had old grounds in it. "Okay to sleep, Airport shuttle wasn't in operation"
I selected this motel because it was the cheapest in the area and it had a free shuttle to the Ft.Lauderdale airport. When I checked in I asked the front desk about the shuttle and they said that it was in the shop for repairs. This was very upsetting to say the least, because they advertised the free shuttle as a big deal in the hotel ad and I was […] really counting on it. So anyway I had to drop about 20 dollars on a taxi to the airport, which was almost half of what I spent on the room. That being said, the staff was nice and friendly. The room was okay for the price, not sparkling clean, but not dirty or anything, just hair in the sink and dusty air vents but hey that's expected. Several of the rooms I saw on the bottom floor were under construction, so I think they might be in the process of remodeling. The area around the Inn has absolutely nothing in walking distance, at least nothing that wasn't sketchy looking. If you just need to crash somewhere before leaving Ft. We were surprised that this hotel has a 3.8 rating since the overall condition of the hotel and grounds is quite run down. The room was very clean but definitely needs renovating since it shows wear and has a rough appearance in many respects. The surrounding area is industrial and a rough looking neighborhood. If you are crashing for a night before a flight it's ok to stay at. Beds have really thin blankets and our AC was obviously leaking or creating condensation because the carpet around it was damp/wet.
