We changed hotels mid trip due to horrible conditions at our other hotel. This one was along the same price range so we took advantage of this place. Rooms were very unique, quaint, and relaxing. A bit lacking in the maintenance overall but for the value and location to Fort Lauderdale Beach I could see us staying here again. The family that runs this […] was very friendly and accommodating. Showed us rooms so we could pick out which we liked. Had a small kitchen. Certainly not the best you will find but I did find it very cozy and affordable. Worth trying! The hotel is somewhat run-down and needs updated and paint. The Manager was very pleasant... but... the towel rack fell off, and it is somewhat dilapidated. "GIGI's- funky 1950's era hotel"
We had a very nice room, the Nairobi, which is shown in the web picture of the hotel. The bed was good, room was quiet even with the hotel full. The manager was friendly and helpful and the location is tremendous: two minutes from beach and lots of shops and restaurants within a block. The entry, garden and stairs are out of date. It is hard to find […] for the cab driver and you think you are mistaken when you first find it. I kept telling my girlfriend, "Don't worry, I'll never make you stay in a place like this again" as we horsed our bags up the stairs, and I wouldn't recommend for a multi night stay.
