The Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty Six offers dining at Grille 66, a fine-dining steakhouse that also features locally caught seafood. Mariner's Café features buffet-style breakfasts, and breakfast and lunch à la carte menus. The Pelican Bar and Grill overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway, and live music performs at the Poolside Bar and Grill. "Resort experience for hotel rate"
This turned out to be a great stay, for not much more than what a basic extended stay hotel would have cost. Needed a place close to the Cruise Terminal and the airport, but wanted to have a pool and a nice place to hang out without paying serious money. I think I hit the jackpot here! "Decent off-peak getaway spot"
My husband and I travelled here for a long weekend to celebrate our one-year anniversary, which falls at the end of September. That meant we got great off-peak pricing on the room with some unfortunate September rain. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly...the concierge even sent a bottle of wine to our room with an anniversary card! What a nice […] touch. The hotel itself was not sparkling new, a little dated on the exterior. But the room was updated. The bed was not comfortable at all but we did not complain so there's nothing they could do about that. Off peak means the staff was pretty sparse and the bars seemed to close a bit early. But on the one non-rainy day we had, they handed out cold towels by the pool. We do wish they had lowered some of the service, food and drink prices to reflect the off-peak rate we paid. When we got to the hotel it was raining and to get to our roomwe had to walk outside. We didn't mind at first but when we were walking to the room and noticed all the construction we were a Little annoyed. My boyfriend and I checked in for one night and as soon as we arrived the very happy receptionist told us that she could bump us up into a Tower suite. We had got an amazing deal already on our room and to be bumped up further was a great surprise. My wife and I were ending a cruise in Ft Lauderdale and spending 2 additional nights there. We chose the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 after reading some good reviews. Upon our early arrival, we were greeted by a friendly front desk person who was very accomodating. "Hyatt Pier Sixty Six"
After deciding we wanted to travel to Fort Lauderdale/Miami to see the Marlins play, I ventured out on the web to look for good hotel deals. Suprisingly enough, the prices were decent enough but came with a big catch - $200 deposits per day or $30+ for parking each day. After picking a hotel and in the process of purchasing it we found out that it was […] booked for the 3rd of July so I found my way to hotels.com and found the Hyatt. I read about it a bit and decided at the price (marina/garden king bed view) to go for it. The parking was very reasonable compared to other hotels and the deposit wasn't outrageous either. Perfect! After coming in the hotel, we were greeted by friendly smiling faces that let us know what they offered, if we wanted help to our room, and the best way to get to our room. Upon walking in the room, we were happy! It had one of the comfiest beds I've ever laid in. It was hard to sit in it and not want to sleep. The bed skirt was kind of gross and dirty but we didn't say anything because I'm sure they are noticed/washed enough. The hotel had a nice pool with a large hot tub that had a nice pool bar/snack shop which was awesome for a relaxing day. The located was great as it is right on the marina and on the beach end side so getting to places was a breeze. It is close to so many places: Starbucks, Panera, Publix, Moe's Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Hess, etc I could go on. The only other downfall of it was that although we had the room temperature as low as possible (which said 65) it was so hot at night. It was our anniversary so I'd like to have cuddle but the room was so hot we had to sleep on opposite ends! I wanted to call to ask about it but I didn't want to have to switch rooms and didn't really think anything could have been done about it during our stay. The hotel is wonderful. The grounds were immaculate and everything was clean. Service was terrific and friendly, save for one waitress who was in a hurry to end her shift at the pool lounge. Our room overlooked the pool and the view was incredbile. Easy access to the car and never heard a peep from neighboring rooms. Just an overall A+ experience at this hotel except for a small incidence at check-in (no help to locate our room and no help with our luggages). The rooms are clean, the location is convenient, the pool is amazing and the tennis courts are nice. It's on the marina so lots of nice boats around. Très mauvaises étant donné l'emplacement de l'hôtel, il n'y a rien à moins de 2 km. Le menu du resto n'est pas terrible, les 1er et 2 janvier 2013 nous n'avons pas eu les services d'entretien de notre chambre et nous avons dû demander des serviettes propres, laver nos verres, les vitres étaient très sales ainsi que les meubles sur le balcon, les matelas […] des 2 lits étaient très inconfortables, à la piscine c'est la musique techno du matin au soir en plus d'être harcelés par les employés du snack-bar. De plus, à notre arrivée, le 27 déc., le préposé avait pris une empreinte de notre carte de crédit, nous avons quitté l'hôtel le 3 janvier et nous avons dû appeler le 8 janvier pour qu'elle soit annulée.
