The hotel was fine which I'm used to better, however, because we had an extremely large party I stayed where the majority stayed due to their budget. The hotel actually turned out to be okay. "Mildly disappointed"

"Just ok"
The shuttle service was not time. We needed it three times and all three times it was late. The hotel itself needed minor repair in many places. We are going through a major renovation phase in the hotel and we are working hard to bring you the best service available. For the shuttle time we do apologize but it is out of our control. We have guide lines to follow once we enter the airport and cruise port. Hotel shuttle has designated area that they have to be in they cannot pick up guest from the regular entrance . If shuttle service do pick them up from regular exit shuttle driver will get fine. So that is the main reason shuttle response in the Fort Lauderdale area is late.
We were facing the highway and it was very noisy sleeping. The breakfast room was very small and there was nowhere close to eat any meals. The hotel was filled to capacity and the shuttle to the cruise was running behind the time that we were scheduled. The room that we were told was a king and double bed and the room had only a king. We reserved one King and One Double bed - We got two doubles and we were told by the desk person - that the website was out of date and needs to be updated . "Close to major highway"
The hotel is going through remodeling phase and will be a Quality Inn so I did take that into consideration when I rated my stay. However, my room did not have any bedspreads which I use since I always freeze in hotels. When I requested one I was told (at first) that Quality Inn's requirements for the rooms did NOT include a bed covering. I booked this hotel for 3 nights - 2 nights at the beginning of our trip (we were coming in from a late flight and wanted something close to the airport) and 1 night at the end (leaving on an early flight and again, wanted something close). It was close to the airport and the price was right. You do get what you pay for, and we got a little more - we […] got a clean place to sleep, enough towels/washcloths, a mini frig and microwave, and even a free breakfast. The bed was comfortable, but it's not a pillowtop. If you are looking for one of those, look elsewhere. It isn't uncomfortable, but it's somewhat harder than what I have at home. The pillows were good, though, and the furnishings were nice. This is an older hotel that has been re-done. It still looks fairly old from the outside, but don't judge a book by its cover - the rooms are fine. This is a 5-story hotel with rooms that open to the outside. There is an elevator that, while ventilated, is not air conditioned, so you may be a little warm on your short flight up. The breakfast provided is adequate - orange slices were the only fruit available, but they also had hard-boiled eggs (a rarity in hotel breakfasts), cereal and milk, and muffins, so it's enough to start your day. Also, this hotel is not walking-distance to the beach (unless you just really like to walk long distances). We drove and found flat-rate parking for the day. Overall, this is a good value. We found all but one of the desk clerks very cold and unfriendly. My wife got stuck in the elevator for about 15 minutes and when we told the desk clerk about it he couldn't have cared less.
