Staff very friendly and valet guys are great. Our room was sleek clean and modern. They suggested we upgrade to a room with the floor to celing windows, so we did. Disappointing- Homeless man sleeping in front; ruined beautiful ocean view. Then waited 20 minutes 4 coffee with grinds in morn, far far walk to main party-ft. lauderdale strip. Paid $4.00 to bring drink away from bar to room. Got questioned about smoking in room when went down 8 floors 2 smoke. When told front desk of all of this they said sorry. Am […] a local in ft. Lauderdale and am glad i used hotels.com to book (still not cheap) cause if was visiting from elsewhere and paid full price would have been even more upset. "B Ocean hotel was awesome!!"
My friend and I stayed 1 night for a weekend girls trip in March. The hotel was right on the beach and the view from our room was AMAZING. The hotel was clean, inviting and aestetically pleasing. The hotel had a modern / art deco/ appeal to it. The hotel staff was friendly and kind. When we got to our room we were pleased to see it in perfect condition. […] The linens were a nice quality as well as the towels. The room, including the bathroom was emaculate! The room smelled fresh! It was very modern too, flat screen television and an ipod dock. Plus, plenty of outlets to plug in phones and my ipad. The pillows were soft and comfortable. We were all too pleased to see that they use the Aveda products in the bathrooms. I had the best mojito ever at the pool bar. For dinner, we ate at Saia. Unfortunatley, it was not what we expected. The service was awesome, but the food was mediocre at best. It seemed like all the flavors of the food were competing with each other. If you eat at Saia, plan to grab a burger afterwards because you'll still be hungry! (We walked straight over to the Bistro afterwards!) Marcus, who was our server at the Bistro was very friendly and attentative. "Fresh and clean..."
However, as a recently remodeled hotel, the sound was awful. I've never stayed in a hotel where every sound from the hallway and other rooms on your floor can be heard. "Great value, lovely design"
Really liked the hotel and the concierge-style staff approach. I gather it is a totally re-designed older building right across from the beach. The hotel is brand new and although super clean and very nice, they are missing a few things that would improve the overall experience. There should be coffee makers in room or at least have coffee available in the lobby 24 hours a day. Also shower caps and small sewing kits would be welcome amenities to the rooms. Hotellet är fräscht och nyrenoverat. Stora fönster mot havet är mysigt! Men, utanför entrén är det en väldigt trafikerad väg och kvarteret är riktigt sunkigt!! Vi trivdes inte alls!! "Nytt og fint hotell rett ved stranden!"
Hotellet er nytt og velholdt, og personalet i resepsjonen var kjempehyggelige og hjelpsomme. Vi fikk fin utsikt mot den nydelige stranden i Fort Lauderdale, og resten av rommet stod også til forventningene våre. Det eneste som er litt dumt er at det ikke er kjøleskap på rommet. Vi spiste frokost på hotellet tre ganger, og var godt fornøyde med buffeen […] de hadde. (Så mye mat, juice og kaffe man vil ha for $15.) Hotellet har også en asiatisk restaurant, med veldig god sushi og asiatisk tapas. Ypperlig service. Bassengområdet er fint, og treningsrommet er OK selv om det er lit lite. Stranden er antakelig den fineste på Floridas østkyst, med krystallklart vann som nesten holder badekartemperatur.
