I surprised my boyfriend with a mini-getaway for Valentine Day since we won't be able to celebrate the weekend of. Great location and great view of the beach. Absolutely loved this hotel! My boyfriend & I stayed one night & wished we could've stayed for 2 at the least! The room looked exactly like the photos! Totally impeccable. The staff was helpful & gave us a complimentary upgrade on our room upon checking in. The view was stunning! "The View is worth it!"
To me this hotel came down to the gorgeous view. My husband and I felt like we were watching a computer screen it was that beautiful! "Nice, but a little pricey"
When my husband and I came to check in, we knew we were early-- but check in at this hotel is 4pm, and check out is still at the normal 11am. Our room wasn't ready, so we were upsold on a nicer room, since we arrived at 12:30pm, and our room wouldn't otherwise be ready until 4pm-- a little bit of a hassle, but we got to choose our room on a higher floor. The […] view is outstanding. I would have liked to have a balcony, but it wasnt that big of an issue. The room was clean and comfy, but does not have a refrigerator or coffee maker. The swimming pool was small, no hot tub, and to get to the fitness room, you need to walk through the pool area. (it was raining the one day we stayed and when we went to the gym, we had to go out in the rain to get there.) There is no changing room for the pool area or gym, so on our last day we had to check out at 12 noon (was the latest they would let us) and our flight didn't leave until 5pm, so we sat at the pool and I had to change in the lobby bathroom stall before our flight home. Located on the northern part of the line of really fun things to do. It's a short hike to the heart of the shopping, eating & drinking. It's also right by the giant "Fashion Center" mall which also has awesome dining (we really enjoyed Truluck's). Stayed on new years eve. There were small things out of whack- room phone was not working, no room service menu. Both things were taken care of albeit slowly. I chalked it up to the holiday as the hotel appeared busy. All rooms have an ocean view. It's just that some have a more direct view than others. I liked the look of this hotel inside and out. The location was nice view wise but a little off the main strip but ok. The main things I would fault the hotel is that for a main hotel by the beach the bar closes way too early. Also during the night the a/c was so loud when kicking on and off it woke me up. The final note would be that the staff that […] I met at the front desk need to be human. They showed no connection with the guest that was checking in and seemed liked they did not want to be there. The restaurant staff were not much better not helping and leaving me and my wife to fill our own coffee cups while they stood at the other end talking. The main star of our stay was for a few minutes we got to talk to the bar man and he was actually very friendly and the best face for the hotel that we met during our stay. This hotel has been completely renovated and has the feel of an upscale South Beach type hotel with great views of the ocean from my 3rd floor room. "Room with a View"
The overall hotel was nice.. Great view from our room from both windows!! However....room not clean. Used washcloth on shower bar, toliet not cleaned and no ice bucket in room. All of which we could have resolved, but our room was not cleaned at all the following day!!! AT ALL!! When we returned after being out all day and called the night manager (AMBER) […] she stated she would send up linens and we could change them ourselves and that there was "nothing" she could do, as if it was our fault!! My husband went to the front desk and spoke with LILLY, who apologized and offered suggestions for us and stated she would inform the day manager. 6th floor room...Wanted higher floor but wasnt available @ check in time. Room was small butnice. Didnt like that there was no shower door. But the floor didnt get wet in the bathroom. Nice ammenties. Parking was RIDICULOUS!! $25 PER DAY...and we had 2 cars! They accomidated us in every way. We wanted a certain time at the spa serices and they made […] all the necessary adjusments to book us at the time we wanted... We ordered room service breakfast..it took 130 mins to get it after calling to remind them they forgot it. Other then that the stay was nice, staff was nice. The hotel is modern with (2) good restaurants. The sushi was excellent, but a little pricey & the menu somewhat limited compared to other restaurants in the area.
