We enjoyed the hotel very much. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The location is in a very scenic spot near the beach and a state park.

We stayed at the B Ocean while in town visiting family. We LOVED the room-wide picture window looking out to the ocean. The staff was very accommodating. When we had an issue with guest noise, the night manager was apologetic and made amends. The breakfast buffet was very nice and the free coffee every morning was a plus.

This was one of loudest hotels I have ever stayed at! There is little to no noise reduction from floor to floor. The gaps around the door let in not only light at night (so it is never dark), but every word spoken from either end of the corridor, can be heard. The staff is very nice though. What a great stay! The staff were all courteous and friendly. The accommodations were excellent and the view of the ocean was delightful. There was easy access to the beach, great restaurants, the marinas and other local sites. I plan to stay there again in the future and would recommend this hotel to others without hesitation.

PRO: The hotel was clean, updated & beautifully situated on the ocean. CON: Staff has little if any people skills, from the valet to front desk to concierge to operator. Visit1: we stayed in a room at the end of a hall. About 2AM, "someone" went out the emergency door, setting off an extremely offensive alarm that took the staff 15 mins to turn off. […] An hour+ later a bunch of loud drunk college kids were running up and down the halls before setting off that alarm again! Visit 2: we flew in about 9:30pm, got to the hotel by 10:15pm, exhausted! Unfortunately, as with first visit, a group of loud, drunk youngsters were up and down the hall about 3:45AM, then "someone" pulled the fire alarm a little while later! We walked down from the 9th floor to outside the front of the bldg., where NOBODY from the staff addressed the guest;, no police or fire dept's showed up; 5 mins later people started walking into the lobby, heading back to their rooms. Thinking that the worst was behind us, I later tried to order breakfast: coffee, tea, 2 juices, pancakes with ham, and a fruit platter. Not a crazy order, right?! It took over an hour and 4 visits from room service to get the order right! After "breakfast" we called valet to bring our car up through the valet and that took 30 mins. Booked 2 nights here with the family. Took 2 rooms. Even though check in was supposed to be at 4, one room wasn't ready till 445pm. Highly annoying since checkout is supposed to be at 11. The hotel is very modern and sleek, with a beautiful oceanfront location. However, there is NO counterspace in the bathroom for toiletries, no coffeemaker in the room and no mini fridge or microwave. Therefore, guests are captive to the hotel's 2 restaurants, which are expensive. We had a major problem with the housekeeping staff - they did not change […] a stained comforter (just flipped it over), or clean the toilet or empty waste cans one day. We are BIG coffee drinkers and was a little shocked no coffee maker in room. Complimentary coffee down stairs from 6ish to ? But we are also early birds. Went and bought a single cup maker to resolve the issue. Valet was pricey, but the service was superb! Will return next year:-)

Hotel's location is great, views of the ocean superb. Very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Modern and interesting architecture and furnishings. Bed slightly uncomfortable. Air quality could be better. $ 25 a day vallet parking before tips to the young (and very friendly) men is rather unfortunate.

This place is horrible!!! Our last night there someone tried getting into our room then, apparently, having a master key opened the doors to all the other rooms on our floor! We will never feel safe here again and plan on letting everyone else know!! I watched through peep hole. Emailed management in regards to this 3 days ago and no one has even bothered […] to call back. Roads and bridges were closed. That is no fault of the hotel, I know, but an email with a heads up with ways to get there would have been nice. Instead it took us 3 hours to get on, off, almost back on, off, then on the island again. Beware walls are PAPER THIN!!! I mean I swear if you're quiet you can hear the people in the next room breath thin! And our neighbors set their alarm and got up at 4 AM! Ate at saia. Food was ok but street was crowded with locals checking out the flooding. So I got to watch some family sit on the other side of the window and eat fast food and stare while I ate. You would think the hotel would have asked them not to loiter on the property instead of allowing them to use it like a public park. There's really nothing around the hotel at night except 3 dive bars(a woman kept flipping her skirt up with nothing on underneath and nobody reacted kind of dive bars)and nothing in walking distance so with streets and bridges closed we went to bed early(which was good since the neighbors I mentioned earlier....).
