"nice surprise"
I stayed one night for a business engagement during spring break season. Even though the outside of the hotel and the surrounding neighborhood was shaky to say the least, the room itself was great. "You get what you pay for"
The only high point of my stay at the hotel was leaving. The sheets were beige, I am assuming that they were white at one time. The shower soap was the type of free samples that you get in the Sunday paper. The worst part was that the room had two doors, one in front and one in the back, neither would latch without slamming them. "needs help"
The outside and location of this particular hotel was rather scary. The exterior of the building desperately needs some fixing up and a paint job. the driveway/parking lot needs to be repaved. The surrounding neighborhood was interesting. It was kind of in an industrial neighborhood, with dumpsters everywhere. My first impression was "oh great this […] place is gunna be nasty" However I was pleased to find that the rooms did NOT match my first impression. The rooms were actually pretty decent.
