This hotel was the perfect place for 3 young 20 year old's. It was a warm place to sleep at night. Other than that, it was nothing spectacular. The staff were EXTREMELY friendly and seemed very sincere. The location is perfect. Just a short shuttle ride to the lodge. The best thing about the hotel, they run a free shuttle in/out of town. If you are looking for a hotel that has a long list of accomodations, this is not the place for you. I really liked the hotel, as other reviewers mentioned, it is on the mountain, not in town. Very quiet. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast included and really nice lodge with gourmet food right next door. Dinner is pricey, but lighter faster at bar is reasonable and very good.

This is an older motel trying to keep up. The room was small and cramped but clean. The bed was adequately comfortable and there were two bunk beds so it would be ideal for a family with kids. The staff were wonderful. Plenty of fun things to do right here at the resort. Got to do ziplining, was on my bucket list. The guys were so helpful. My husband is 85 and I am 76 years old. The cont.breakfast is the best we have ever had at a hotel. Can't say enough.

This was the worst stay in a hotel ever. Several of the hotel guests got drunk and arrived back at the hotel near 2 am. Security was called and the guests were told to be quiet around. As soon as security left the noise started again (spewing, knocking on our door, jumping off their beds etc). They finally went to bed at 4am some two hours later. We […] haven't heard yet but we asked the hotel for a full refund. In their information package it states guests who disrupt others will be required to pay for their room. This place has the friendliest staff that made the stay enjoyable. They even let us know that Glacier had been partially closed due to avalanches, it made planning the day more productive. My only complaint is that it is way up on a hill, a little inconvenient for summer visits (great location for winter skiing though). The price was great.

We stayed a week here while we explored Glacier and thoroughly enjoyed it. They were so accomodating. Stored our bikes for us and our luggage while we took our friends to the airport. Great breakfast, coffee and tea 24 hrs and use of a refrigerator in the kitchen. Rates were great. We would stay here again.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff more than made up for any shortcomings in the condition or convenience of the hotel. Breakfast was especially well done. It could probably get a bit rowdy in peak season but it was nice and quiet when we were there.

My family and I stayed at Hibernation House the last week of July. There were no other hotel rooms available in Whitefish, but Expedia recommended it, so we took our chances. Very comfortable, friendly, good breakfast, great views. We got in really late unfortunately so we didn't get to use the amenities but everything seemed decent. We drove to Glacier […] the next morning, very convenient to the park even though its about 25 minutes away. Our only "complaint" was the signage since it was about 11pm, the sign pointing to the Big Mountain Road is a little misleading... turn right for the road, or continue around the corner and its up on the hill. Probably our misinterpretation since it was dark and we were tired but it was confusing enough that we didn't take the right turn. We booked this hotel based on other customer ratings, but ended up checking out after the first night. This is NOT the place to stay if you want to go to Glacier Park, as it is a 50 minute drive to the park entrance. It's also not convenient to the town of Whitefish for dining, and options at the actual ski village where the hotel is located are very […] limited. The room was very basic, which wouldn't have been bad if it were more convenient. There was also quite a bit of dust and our curtain was half off the rod. I do have to say that the staff was quite friendly and tried to be accommodating, but their options were limited. Stay here to ski, stay here to mountain bike on the ski trails, but do not stay here if you want the conveniences of the town of Whitefish or easy access to Glacier National Park. Read more

While some of the people traveling with us, did not make it to the hotel, those of us who did stay, enjoyed it emensely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were not elaborate, but comfortable with all that we needed. - There are no tubs, but only showers in the rooms, which is sufficient unless you are a soaker.

The hotel is a disaster. Rooms were musty and stunk of old ski boots and wet clothing. Walls are paper thin so can hear everyone, especially those above tromping around. There is NO value here. One positive note, the staff were very friendly.
