Hibernation House

This hotel was the perfect place for 3 young 20 year old's. It was a warm place to sleep at night. Other than that, it was nothing spectacular. The staff were EXTREMELY friendly and seemed very sincere. The location is perfect. Just a short shuttle ride to the lodge. The best thing about the hotel, they run a free shuttle in/out of town. This allowed […] us to go in to town to eat, grab a few drinks, enjoy our evening, and not have to worry about driving up the mountain late at night. If you are looking for a hotel that has a long list of accomodations, this is not the place for you. I really liked the hotel, as other reviewers mentioned, it is on the mountain, not in town. Very quiet. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast included and really nice lodge with gourmet food right next door. Dinner is pricey, but lighter faster at bar is reasonable and very good.

This is an older motel trying to keep up. The room was small and cramped but clean. The bed was adequately comfortable and there were two bunk beds so it would be ideal for a family with kids. The biggest problem was a noisy hallway. The room door was not able to keep out hallway noise, all conversations were clearly audible. Breakfast the next morning […] was good with many choices. The staff was helpful and offered much information about what was offered in the motel as well as in the surrounding resort area. A nice lounge area exists with comfortable furniture and lots of literature about things to do. This is a prime ski location so during the summer, mountain biking and hiking are the target activities. You can probably do better but I hate to think at what price! Read more

This place has the friendliest staff that made the stay enjoyable. They even let us know that Glacier had been partially closed due to avalanches, it made planning the day more productive. My only complaint is that it is way up on a hill, a little inconvenient for summer visits (great location for winter skiing though). The price was great.

The rooms are rather small but pretty clean. The bed was comfy. The only thing I would say is that it's several miles from town so if you go off season like we did you need to eat in town before you go out there or take some food with you because there's not much out there open in off season. Otherwise, it's a nice play to stay, and quiet.

We enjoyed our one night stay but had to move on to West Glacier. The people were helpful and nice and the location was good for the mountain but to far from the Park for my need. A good place to be away from things for a few days.

Cozy fireplace area, very friendly and helpful staff. Basic rooms and basic continental breakfast. Quiet while we were there, but very thin walls. No charm, except for fireplace room. Felt like military barracks. That said, it still met all our needs.

initial thought was very "rustic" and old looking. really nice staff. breakfast was good, and full right to end of serving time. room was queen and a bunk-bed (with 2 singles) - great for parents and kids on a budget ski holiday. clean. decent price. good service. Better than first appearance. Drive up to the hotel is scenic (don't drive fast - a black […] bear charged across the road in front of us when we went down into town at 5pm for dinner). Night clerk was very friendly and chatty, and we had a fun conversation over plentiful (and free) hot chocolate. We enjoyed our time at Hibernation House. We went in July, and it was great to be up at the mountain and able to walk to do activities (like hiking on the mountain and the scenic lift). The rooms were pretty standard, but do have a queen bed and 2 bunk beds, so that's great for a family! The breakfast was amazing. It was continental, but they had things […] like yogurt, soya milk, hard boiled eggs, cereals, pastries, breads, and fresh fruit.
