Kayaks, pedal boats, snorkeling gear, floats, and inner tubes can be rented on the beach. A health spa next to the fitness center offers treatments such as aromatherapy and stone massages, body scrubs, and seaweed body wraps.
Guests have can enjoy a complimentary cooked-to-order buffet breakfast each morning and a complimentary manager's reception held daily. Dining options include the Paradise Café, which offers an air-conditioned dining room and open-air terrace with ocean views; Calypso Lounge & Bar, serving lunch and dinner; Oregano Bar and Grill, the golf clubhouse restaurant serving international fare for lunch and dinner; and Blue Seahorse Poolside Grill for poolside dining..

Oregano Bar and Grill - Golf clubhouse restaurant serving international menu for lunch and dinner.
An 18-hole championship golf course designed by Puerto Rican golf champ Chi Chi Rodriguez is adjacent to the hotel within the Dorado del Mar resort/residential community. The course includes water features on 12 holes.

"Nice Place Right on Beach"
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was pretty good, although curtains were a little dirty and walking barefoot in room felt a little moist. "poor customer service in lounge"

"Would stay here again, great beach and pool"
We stayed at Embassy Dorado del Mar in November of 2012. We had 5 adults in a suite and all had room without feeling overcrowded. The only room complaint is that they kept leaving 2 towels and no washclothes so we had to call down every day to get additional towels and washclothes for bathing. The A/C worked well, water pressure was great, and the small […] microwave and fridge were a nice plus. The pool area was clean and big. The towel service was nice to have by the pool area as well. The private beach was a huge PLUS. There were little to no people using the beach and the water was amazing. No swim up bar which is a bummer, but we made it work without it. The manager's reception each night, with live music was insanely fun. The bartenders were personable and made sure everyone had fun. The complimentary breakfast was great as well. We would definitely go here again, and recommend it to people visiting Puerto Rico. Make sure you read the fine print, as there is a resort charge on top of what you pay from Hotels.com. "Embassy Suites Dorado"
The hotel offers many nice amenities such as the breakfast, cocktail hour, and close beach. These aspects make the hotel enjoyable if you don't plan on leaving the area. However, if you plan on exploring other parts of Puerto Rico, you might consider staying elsewhere or renting a car because the hotel is rather remote and cabs are very expensive. The […] staff at Embassy Suites unfortunately did not help my friend and me during a somewhat traumatic cab experience. We took a cab home from San Juan with a cab driver who was intoxicated and did not know his way around. We were scared for our life with his erratic driving on remote roads. The trip took us 1.5 hours when it should have taken 30 minutes. Upon arriving back to the hotel (now at 3 am) the staff was not helpful as we were tried to escape this man's crazy antics and anger. The staff merely stood there and told us there was nothing they could do to help us, as he yelled in our faces. We couldn't believe that as guests in a hotel they would not do a single thing to assist us in this terrifying situation.
