"Free wifi?"
On arrival my room had a bad smoke smell dispite being a non-smoking hotel. I was relocated to a different room with a much better smell. Through the five days I was there I used my 3g internet connection due to an wifi outtage on day 1, i was told, however, they had technicians on the way. Day 2, they didn't know there was a wifi outage and were going […] to call someone. Day 3, the wifi was still out and the front desk said the person before them did not give them a passdown about the wifi. Long story short, at the end of my stay, there was still no wifi. If you come here, don't expect it to work. Finally, the only other thing I was mildly annoyed with were the legs of the rolling cusion in the room that kept falling off leaving it lopsided all the time. Staff - Excellent staff, knowledgeable and friendly Location - Convenient to main roads, public transportation, gas station, shopping, restaurants, grocery. Public Areas - Vending machines only took change, no dollars, and then would not dispense. Ice machines all not working. Parking abundant and free. Room - Nice size room. Heater / AC in room. Towels […] threadbare. Bathroom sprinkler practically disintigrating from rust. Plastic bathtub cracked and looks like probably leaking underneath. Common walls extremely thin / high noise level from neighbors to side and above. Armchair had holes in upholstery; filling coming out in several places on armrest. Amenities - Coffeemaker in room. This hotel was clean, comfy and the continental breakfast was nice. Wish the breakfast room was a little easier to access, as you had to walk outside, re-enter the hotel and walk through a hallway to get to the breakfast room. The rooms were clean, but with the minor problems it could have been better. I like to take baths, but the bathtub drain leaked cutting my baths a little short. The TV remote never worked, even after trying to get it fixed for two days. "Not a hotel for business travellers!"
When I checked in I was told I had to leave a $50 damage deposit (which I'm still waiting to get back) and sign a no parties/no pets policy. There are no desks in the rooms and I had to move furniture to get to an outlet to plug a laptop into. When I checked out, I had to ASK for my deposit to be recredited to my account since I had not caused any damage. […] It's been a week and I'm still waiting. I asked the desk clerk if there were desks in any rooms...nope he said. I asked "how do you call yourself a business hotel". He said it was because they provided free internet.
