This isn't a bad hotel but if I'm in the area again I'd stay elsewhere. The good: hot breakfast includes eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, etc., bed was comfortable, bathroom clean, hot shower. The bathroom sink was stopped up. We told them at check-out, but I don't know if she was really concerned. Also, the room we stayed in(302) looked like someone had spilled nail polish behind the sink and it was'nt cleaned up very well. "Ok for business"
Upon check in, we were sent to a dark corner of the hotel where the room was musty and had a stagnant smell. Hotel staff reluctantly reassigned us to a King room with a pull out couch but we needed 2 doubles for a family of 4. "Not What We Expected"
After all, this is the Four Points by Sheraton in Northern Virginia... being a BIG Hampton Inn fan, not real sure what I expected but what we got was... - we were arriving early (1-1:30pm) and calling the main office befoer we left was told to call ahead 1-2 hours so a room would be ready - it wasn't. A room was hastily put together which was the room […] set aside for handicap (so what would they use for someone who was?) which was right down the hallway with tile aaalllll the way down - all night long was clackity-clackity of wheels going over the tiles - the pillows were awful, totally worn out - and if you sleep on the side of the bed right next to the window, the a/c unit is off-on all night and being right on the same level as, blows right into your face on-off-on-off. The hotel restaurant had excellent food but they were so short staffed they pulled people from the front desk to waitress - the two gals there were great but doing triple duty so dinner was a hour long affair.Think I'll go back to Hampton Inn where I know exactly what I'll get!
