It was TERRIBLE. When I checked in I was assured there was internet connection in my room. After an hour of trying, the front desk suggested I come down to them so they could give me a key to move myself to a room on a higher floor where the signal might be stronger. I packed everything I had unpacked and had to call the front desk twice to get someone […] to come and help with my bags. The signal was no stronger in the room on the upper floor and only after an hour more with an outside IT expert was I finally online. By this time it was midnight and I still had 2 hours of work to do before I could get to sleep. The front desk forgot my wake up call the next day and after all that didn't offer anything by way of accommodation for my trouble - not even an apology. I would never stay here again. "Poorly managed"
We had a long drive in and got in about 1am. The attendant at the front desk said "can you two share a room?". My response was "no... We have reservations for 2 rooms". Well they only had one room because the second room wasn't cleaned in preparation of our arrival. There was no apology.. Simply matter of fact share the room. So we shared the room. […] The room was fine... There were small areas that you can see they are saving money by not providing for the guest. They had one less soap than they were supposed to and the towels were not standard Sheraton towels... They were thin and scratchy. Other challenges for this hotel... Housekeeping is not professional at all. They are very loud talking and laughing in the hallway quite early in the morning not taking into account that people may be sleeping. They walked in on my coworker ( the one I ended up sharing a room with) while she was on the toilet.. No knock at all. The next morning the manager apologized and gave me 10% off dinner if I wanted to eat there. I chose not to use that discount. With all this said...hotels.com handled this great. Within an hour of me calling them to tell them twhat happened, I got an email notifying me that my credit card was being credited. I would rate this hotel as a half star hotel and certainly not a 3 star hotel. I expected much better from a Sheraton Hotel. First off the card keys I was given didn't work and I had to go back to the front desk to get replacements. We visited during a summer heat wave and the hallways of the hotel were always hot (85 degrees plus) and were often even […] hotter than the outside temp. and were filled with dirty dishes from room service that were seldom picked up by the hotel staff.The "CLEANING" crew was extemely poor forgetting to leave soap in the room but remembering to leave someone else's dirty towels in our sink while knocking our personal care items into the sink on top of dirty towels. When I informed the front desk they they didn't seem to care saying "SORRY THINGS HAPPEN".The breakfast wasn't too bad if you can stand the same lukewarm food every day since only one item on the buffet changed from day to day (SOGGY FRENCH TOAST OR LUKEWARM BISCUITS AND GRAVY". This property is certainly not up to Sheraton Standards. After getting checked in we walk to the room and the entry welcome mat was covered in stains. The room ceiling was repaired and several water stains had occurred. The morning breakfast was not ready until 7:00. All the juices were warm and the restaurant is very dark. The management does not know there own hotel. the threshold was loose and then missing and then it was returned to become a trip hazard. the wireless internet was non existent. I had to drive to a hot spot to get my email and to search for a new residence as I am relocating to the area. Stay here! Very poor customer service. Very bad night manager. Breakfast is boring. Pool is freezing cold and dirty. Quite far from the city, nearest Metro station is about 20 minute drive. Bugs in the rooms and halls. We could have overlooked the less-than-ideal breakfast, pool, and location, if it weren't for the awful customer service.
