Palm Desert is a city for the arts for all senses. Billing itself as a museum without walls, the city displays more than 130 sculptures in public foyers, squares, and sidewalks. Broadway acts and big-name musicians fill the McCallum Theatre’s seats. Souvenir hunters need look no further than El Paseo. This district has more than 300 shops, many with gaily-decorated facades.

"Inn at Deep Canyon"
Booked 1 night..stayed 2. Got an upstairs suite with Kingsize bed and a veranda looking west. This small very friendly hotel although not new was a throw back to the good ole days. The large room was fully fitted with kitchen and all the utensils, we brought a box of wine and enjoyed some sundowners after a swim and hot tub. Located two blocks from […] the east end of the El Paseo shopping district and close to stores and bars it made for a fun weekend. Wireless internet, 60+channels of cable TV without the usual hotel PPV nonsense, heated pool and sunloungers-a-plenty for a good price in a great location...try it.. "Don't stay at this inn!"
The pool was completely overpacked with people who were BBQing and taking the entire place over. There literally was no room to go in the pool unless you wanted to get splashed or smacked in the head with a beachball. For those of us who just wanted a cocktail poolside and to relax and cool off = forget it. The people partied until past 1:00am with […] screaming and splashing and the hotel did nothing to try and remedy this problem. When I phoned the manager at 1:00am, she said to me, "I have already tried to quiet them and they won't listen so you should call 911." We learned the next day that many other people complained but all the front desk would offer us was a $40 voucher for when we returned. It will be tough to use as we will never go back to that shabby place. Luckily, Hotels.com got us a refund for our second night and we went down the street to the Embassy Suites which was soooo much better for only about $22 a night more. Don't make the same mistake we did! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Inn at Deep Canyon First, I want to apologize for the problems you experienced during your stay. We are committed to taking care of our guests and want everyone to have a pleasurable experience. The on site manager with whom you spoke is no longer with us. The purpose of our staff is take care of the guests! Our procedure for noise after 10:00 is to ask them to be quiet. If the on site manager has to come out again, it is to tell them one more call and they will be removed. If there is a 3rd complaint, WE are the ones to call the police and have the offending persons removed.
