"Great hotel for the money."

After spending 2 nights at an outrageously expensive resort for a conference, I cut my stay a night short and looked for other, less expensive options. This Comfort Inn was only a 5 min drive from my conference and the room was just as nice as the "spa villa" I stayed in at the resort (minus the gas fireplace). I would definitely consider this option […] again on my next visit to Palm Springs. The only complaints I had was the overpowering chlorine smell of the spa and the grout in the hall and bath tiles was cracked and missing (thus some tiles were loose)...all an easy fix. I needed a clean safe room to stay in as i was traveli g with my 6 year old grandaughter. This hotel met these requirements. Parking could be better other than that, I would stay there again. Checked in at 9ish in the evening. Front desk clerk was not very pleasant. The refrig had a loud fan which could not be fixed it ran all night. Easy access from freeway. Quiet rooms, all non-smoking. Large rooms with plenty of seating. Comfortable bed. Included is a small refrigerator and microwave in room. The free morning breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, make your own belgian waffle, cereals, pastries, coffee. I've stayed at this holel a couple of time prior to this stay and had no issue. On this stay we were placed in a room # 219 second floor and there a noise throught out the night that sounded like a deseal generator runing right under our window that was loud enough to wake me about 3 or 4 times from midnight to 6:30 am. "Motel made of cardboard"
I unfortunately had loud people above me which can happen anywhere, so i was not happy about that. Even though I have no problem with the condition of the hotel-room-or staff , the noise was the biggest problem. This hotel is in a great location. Easy access to the freeway, restaurants, shopping, etc. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable.
