Overall our stay was excellent. We're staying at this hotel about 6-7 times. The only problem we had this time was their internet service was extremely... slow. I tried both their wired and wireless service. Normally their wired service was very good but this time nothing was acceptable. The hotel's computer system was down, making it a bit inconvenient. Could not use credit card for restaurant bill and did not want to use the ATM and get charged the unnecessary fees. Thank goodness we were able to pool our monies to pay the bill, which left us having to find a bank to replenish funds. Because of the system being down, so was the internet. This is a very nice hotel situated within walking distance to a mall. There were not many restaurants in the area, but the hotel had great room service and a happy hour! The front desk staff was helpful and always available. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows are very thick.

I stopped here overnight on my way into NYC and had a very comfortable evening with no problems. My room was spacious and very comfortable. My only comment would be that it wasn't a non-smoking room, and while it didn't smell horribly there was a very very faint smell of smoke. Got a great internet special rate and would have put up with a lot for that rate. The only small issue was that there was a party in the party room downstairs that we could hear in our 2nd floor room. Fortunately the party ended at midnight and we were up anyway, so it was no big deal.

This hotel is conveniently located at the Rockaway Mall, so it is very close to shopping and restaurants. supervisor at the breakfast was not cooperative, friendly or accomodating. We were charged for 11 adults when she told us the ages were 12 and under for the price and then a service charge on top of it which totaled $30.

Great hotel, nice indoor pool, and good food in the restaurant. The down side was that there was some partying going on in the ballroom, and there was a loud DJ playing music until after midnight. It is kinda hard to sleep with the walls shaking. I called the front desk and nothing was done about it.

Bed was ok but dial to set firmness was broken on one side. We informed front desk as we were checking out as we didn't find it a particular problem. Buffet breakfast was very good. We were disappointed we didn't choose to include it in our room rate. Will know better next time.
