"Aged and out dated hotel stay and charge for WIFI"
Very glad that I only paid a very discounted online rate through Hotels; especially when I just stayed one night enroute at a Best Western in Longview, TX for slightly more, which was like the Taj Mahal comparitively (granted newer, etc...). Key notes: 1. Definitely showing age with worn furniture, fixturing and the like. 2. If WiFi internet access […] is a must then be prepared to pay a monthly size fee per day. 3. Last but not least, the multiple TVs in the King room are very outdated and shabby...understandibly you are at a Casino Resort for other entertainment...but come on..."Resort"?? "Great but weak gym"
Horseshoe overall is a fab hotel. The only issue is their gym is weak. It had dumbells, treadmills, elipticals etc, but no machines.It costs some bucks and closes at 8pm. Diamond Jacks has a great gym and Sams is very good. DJ's is also open 24 hr. Another issue is Horseshoe checkout is 11am. Others are 12pm. On the upside, food and drink is available […] all night. I book the hotel on the same day. No problems checking in. The ladies at the front desk was very friendly. The room was better than I thought. The bathtub was huge. The staff is horrible right on down to their main steak house. The consierge was helpful and did book me into the steak house. This is the second time I stayed and the LAST! The man that checked me into my room twice, takes over 40 mins and is RUDE. The waiter, overcharged me for my steak, I never pointed it out & NEVER asked me how I wanted it cooked.
