If the beds were comfortable, we would have enjoyed our stay. The elevators were broken when we arrived at 11:30 p.m. They were fixed by morning. There was a constant blast of cold air coming out of the vent in the hall outside our room. By the second day we decided to stuff coats in front of the crack in the door to help keep the room at a bearable […] temperature. Our room was constantly cold, but we didn't ask for it to be fixed, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Fireplace was nice. Furniture was nice. Biggest issue was - the hotel says they have a "firm no pet policy". However, that is misleading to allergy sufferers. Owners are allowed to bring their pets, renters or hotel guests are not. The only saving grace of this hotel is it's proximity to the chair lift. We checked in at 9pm to find piles of trash outside our room. The room itself was less than impressive. Fourth trip to Winterpark and I have stayed at Zephyr all four times. This time - had to pay for covered parking, late checkout fee. There is no more warm apple cider at the front desk lounge for guests. The ski lockers pegs were missing so hard to put skis in. Elevators were always busy - so had to wait around 3-5 mintues to go up or come down. The […] room! - no good temperature control. Sofabed springs broken and could not sleep for 3 nights as they did nothing to fix it. Telephone bust - they took a day to fix. Refrigerator leakings, they but towels in the fridge to soak water - my food got spoilt. It took them 6 hours to bring a skillet to the room - by them I was done with cooking my lunch and dinner without a skillet. The towels were not replaced when requested - something about their vendor did not deliver on time.... Management - apparently management has no authority. It was so hard to get a late check out. She said if I paid for the next day - she could do it. But before that said - my room was already booked out. Then said if I paid $25 then could extend to noon and $50 I could extend till 2pm - how does this make sense - seems like they are just trying to squeeze the customer. I had requested a high floor and larger square footage about 3 months prior to check-in - they could not accommodate! Overall a very dissatisfied customer at Zephyr and my next visit to WinterPark will be staying somewhere else. Read more

Very convenient location, easy access to ski lifts and walking distance the Cheeky Monk Beer Cafe. The day we stayed there, the hot tub was not working, the showers had cold water and the bed was rock solid.

Hands down, this was the best ski trip my family has taken. Everything was right at your fingertips! My kids could walk right out of our room and hit the slopes, and my mom and I could go to Starbucks, do some shopping, or just take in the scenery for the day! Everyone enjoyed our stay!

Very pleasant staff, efficient. Location wonderful at Winter Park. I made no complaints, but the bathroom did need some maintenance attention, as did the ski locker. I am confident that those issues will be done.

Great view of mountain above and village below. General store on one side & Starbucks on the other. I visited for a romantic weekend but would definitely take the kids back. Though the bathroom & kitchen were up to date, the bedroom and living room furniture could definitely use some upgrading to be completely comfortable. It wasn't bad, just outdated. We were there for a beautiful wedding at the top of the mountain at the Lodge at Sunspot! Truly picturesque everywhere you look. The location of the property is great! Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and activities. The hotel looks a bit run down and the rooms were very warm. The window barely opened and did not have screens. The rooms would have been much cooler with fans.

The mountains in the summer are absolutely perfect - cool and relaxing. But at the Zephyr they heat the floors, which is probably a nice feature in the winter. The room was nice and if you plan on biking or skiing then it is a good location. The room had a pull out couch that as really bad and the master bed was ok but the neighbor had a refrigerator next to the wall that keep coming on and off and vibrating the wall. Very annoying. It is summer but there is no AC in the rooms so you have to open the windows […] and use the fans. Having a running river outside made it not the quiet experience. Great location, right on the slopes of Winter Park. You can actually walk out from the hotel, in your boots, clip into your skis, and glide on down to a lift. Pretty cool. It had been 10 years since I last stayed at Zephyr. The entire area had changed. The have developed a nice village right at the base of the mountain. The rooms were pretty much the same but had a little wear to them and that was pretty much expected. If you want 5 star don't go. If you are comfortable in a 3 star and a place that is kid friendly then […] this is the perfect place. The location to the ski rental and to the ski lifts were perfect especially with my 8 year old. The best part for my 8 year old was the hot tubbing out in the snow! Overall, great place to stay. Will be back but remember when booking that the Zephyr has two properties. We repeatedly called the front desk the day we checked out because my husband left his iPhone (expensive 4S, I might add) in the room by accident. We were told that housekeeping would look for it. We called back asking to come look for it ourselves and were told we couldn't, but that they would check with housekeeping again. We also filed a lost item […] report with security. When the iPhone was remotely tracked to a construction site west of the resort, it became clear that someone in house had stolen the phone and passed it off to an accomplice. Don't expect a brand new hotel, but overall the facility is well maintained and was a pleasant place to stay. There is no more convienent location to the Winter Park Ski area - we were less than 100 yd from the primary lift at the resort base. Staff was excellent and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. You can park for free at an outdoor lot, but it is quite remote requiring a fairly long walk from the hotel. Read more

If you want ski-in/ski-out access to Winter Park, this is the place. Furnishings may vary slightly from room to room. Beware, though, if you want to park on site, they will ask you to pay an additional, more than nominal, fee per night. Otherwise, you have to park over a half mile away.

A mouse ran across the floor while I was having my breakfast. At night I could not increase the room temperature to a comfortable level. Otherwise, the hotel was good with plenty of room. The kitchen area was very clean.

We were in Winter Park for the Jazz Festival and only were able to stay over night this year, Zepher is so convenient and just a magnificent place. Very peaceful and the condo was very clean and beautiful. We enjoyed our stay immensely and recommend this lodge highly! Thank you!

Location of Zephyr can't be beat (ski in ski out). Location of lockers was good. Room needed to be dusted (ceiling fan and vents), and bed was a little firm for our taste. Overall room was very good and spacious. A lot of the amenities didn't open until 8:00am (exercise room). We'd go back again!

Hotel was nice, clean and very convenient to the slopes, restaurants and some shops. The rooms are NOT sound proof as advertised and the snow plows run all night long and are very loud. The master bedroom had a comfortable bed, but the second bedroom was not comfortable.

We had stayed at the Zephyr a few years ago and found it great for skiing. The hotel was clean and well appointed. On this stay however, there were several things wrong with the room: 1) ski locker was broke and was not fixed after two requests. 2) the bedroom upper window frame was broken and cold air easily entered room 3) the heating system would […] not regulate itself. 4) bathroom facets leaked and showerhead was broken. The front desk did manage to get the broken window fixed, but we had to live with the rest of the issues during our stay It seems that the Zephyr is starting to go downhill. It is a great location and if we didn't have the issues with this room we would go back and will still probalby try Fraser Crossing, but based on this experience I can not recommend the Zephyr Mountain Inn.
