    We only stayed for one night but it was great. Our room was nice and the bed was firm which was important to me due to back problems. They were working... on one elevator but it wasn't too crowded so not a big problem. Get a mountain view room-well worth the extra money! Awesome first big snow and lessons for 20-something kids were so helpful and nice. Definitely recommend the zephyr! Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 11, 2012

    Overview

    Location.
    Zephyr Mountain Lodge is a ski-in/ski-out condo in Winter Park offering easy access to Winter Park Ski Resort and winter activities such as cross-country skiing and skiing lessons. Other regional attractions include Eldora Mountain Resort.

    Property Features.
    Have fun with onsite winter activities, including downhill skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing and in warmer months, enjoy hiking/biking trails and mountain biking. This mountain condo's ski shuttle will get you to the slopes in no time. Zephyr Mountain Lodge helps provide the perfect ski vacation with ski storage, ski equipment rentals, and ski passes. When the sun goes down, sip après-ski drinks in the condo's bar.

    Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas. Guest parking is available for a surcharge.

    Guestrooms.
    Rooms feature balconies with mountain views. The 155 guestrooms at Zephyr Mountain Lodge include fireplaces and coffee/tea makers.     Doc's Road House - Located in the lodge's Village Plaza at the base of the mountain, this restaurant and bar serves American fare for lunch and dinner and is a casual spot for après-ski cocktails. A private room upstairs seats 60.
    Several more dining options are available in the town of Winter Park, two miles away. Located next to the Zephyr Mountain Lodge is the Village at Winter Park, which features more dining options, including Cheeky Monk, Lime and Goodies.

    Recreation

    The lodge is located at the base of Winter Park Resort's Zephyr Express chairlift. Besides skiing, winter activities include snowboarding, Snowcat tours, horse-drawn sleigh rides, snow tubing, dogsledding, and hot-air balloon rides.
    The resort base area is connected to the towns of Winter Park and Fraser by the Fraser River Trail, a 5-mile multiuse trail that is wide, flat, and paved—ideal for children and novice bicyclists, inline skaters, and people still acclimating to the altitude.
    Nearby golf courses include Pole Creek Golf Club, 10 miles north of Winter Park, and SolVista Golf and Ski Ranch, 15 miles north of Winter Park (seasonal).
    An alpine slide, climbing wall, human maze, and miniature golf course offer more summer fun.

    I have stayed at the Zephyr numerous times - but this time was a very poor experience for the price. Perhaps it was the unit, or the recent expansion of the village, but the water pressure was terrible - almost non-existent. I was unable to wash my hair during our entire stay. Trouble with toilet flushing - there was a plunger in the bathroom, so obviously […] it is a problem normally. Dishwashing was impossible. Absolutey no housekeeping - maybe the stopped providing that service for short stays? Had trouble with both TV's and there was no internet or wifi in this room. Two days in a row, our room keys stopped working, so we had to hoof it over to the check-in desk in ski boots and wait in the check-in line to have our keys re-activated. Zephyr implemented nightly parking fees - considering the cost to stay slopeside, parking should be included in the room cost. Read more
