We had a wonderful view of the ocean. We loved the adirondack chairs on the balony. front desk is extremely slow ... but they did go out of the way to accomodate our request for a room without stairs for my elderly mother. Very comfortable room although there was no view. Nice pool area and beach view from the pool area

The staff was very friendly. Had a delay getting our room the day we checked in. Room was small, toliet ran, door didn't seem very secure. But we did enjoy our time at the pool and beach.

I received one of the rooms which had not been upgraded. It's an old 70's-style hotel. I had read the reviews prior to booking and was hoping I might luck out with one of the more recently renovated rooms. Nope. The carpet was dirty and worn, but you know what, we didn't worry about tracking in sand (my 14-year-old son and I went). The bathroom was […] clean but showed its age terribly. The toilet was not stable, I think if pushed it would have fallen over and we had to stop the toilet from running ourselves several times. Wi-Fi was excellent which was good as I did not get cell service (AT&T and Sprint) very good on the property, but I had no problems with that, was nice to be out of touch. The on-site restaurants were excellent! Even though I usually stay in much nicer hotels (Hilton, Marriott, etc.) its proximity to the beach, it's ON the beach, couldn't have been more convenient and it was exactly what I wanted on this trip. I would probably stay again, and if they completely finish renovations, I would DEFINITELY stay again. Read more

The Inn was right on the beach which was wonderful, but the pictures make it look more spectacular than the hotel is. The pictures it showed of rooms were nothing like we got. It did have more room than a normal hotel, but was not very clean. The carpet was so saturated with sand, dirt, etc that when you walked across the floors barefoot they felt wet. […] The sheets, I hoped were clean but were stained. It was nice. However the sheets were dirty and some of the complimentary items such as shampoo and soap were used apparently by previous guests. That freaked my wife out a bit. It is in a wonderful location and the pool was nice.

Hotel staff was super nice and the view from our oceanfront room was peaceful and comfortable. The sand on everything, on the other hand, was frustrating....and I do mean everything. We just wanted to get away for one last weekend before school started back and we all had to get busy again. I booked our room just two days before going on the trip, and was very surprised at how easy it was to navigate the website, and locate the hotel in which we wanted to stay. The family liked the poolside room with the private walk to the pool […] deck, and the easy access to the beach. The room was comfortable for two adults and two adult children. The whole place was clean and well taken care of, and the restaurant and grille had great food. The live entertainment poolside was also a nice touch. The location is good, too. We had a good time in nearby Garden City, Inlet Square Mall and enjoyed wonderful food at Gilligan's and The Hanser House Family Restaurant. I highly recommend both, as well as the two at the Inn. It was just waht we were looking for, and we will be going back. Read more

Upon arriving at the Litchfield Inn, I was greeted very nicely at the counter. This is where my experience went south. I received a room that was about the size of a shoe box and was not what we requested. I then tried to make arrangements to get the proper room and they were less than willing to work something out, so I requested to cancell my reservations. […] They accommodated me with my request but in the process of receiving a refund, they can't seem to find whether I was a guest at the hotel or not.
