Very good all around. Very convenient to Manhattan (12 minutes to the NYC side of the Lincoln tunnel). The nicest Red Roof I have experienced. My room facing Route 3 West was noisy ("far" side of the H-shaped building). "Cost-effective Way to See NYC"
Got a very nice, comfortable room for what we paid. The staff were very friendly and kind. The wi-fi was pretty slow, but that's hotel wi-fi for you. We stayed one night and spent the next day in NYC before heading back home. I think it was a thirty or forty minute bus ride into the city, but it was worth it being able to leave the car at the hotel. […] There was a bus stop practically right in front of the hotel, but it's a commuter route, so you have to check the timetables carefully. If you're not planning on leaving relatively early (I think the last bus went into the city around 9), it's about a mile to another stop with more frequent buses. We were able to use the commuter bus just fine, so I can't speak to the convenience of the other stop, or to the safety of the surrounding neighborhood (although I do know there's some sort of mall nearby). If you do have to walk to the other bus stop, I wouldn't take the route Google Maps gives you because it doesn't look like there's a sidewalk. In summary, I don't know if this is the cheapest way to see NYC, but it was certainly a lot more cost effective than the other options I looked at. I choose this hotel because of the price and I was expecting little less. In fact is excelent place if you come to NYC as a tourist and just use the hotel for sleep, Bus stops are 2 block away from the hotel, and they come every 1 hour, so be advise with bus schedule so you don't miss the bus. in 15 - 20 minutes you will be in Port Authority Bus terminal […] in the 42nd st. next to time square and you can take the subway anywhere you want. First and foremost I have to compliment the hotel staff for being very helpful and friendly, you couldn't ask for a nicer front desk. We went into Manhattan a couple of times and it was an easy 15min commute to & from the hotel as long as the traffic cooperated, (avoid rush hrs going into the city). The 129 city bus drops off right in front of the hotel, […] but you have to walk down the street about 2 blocks to ride into Manhattan port authority bus terminal. Then after a stressful day in new york city there was a real peaceful dock and gazebo to sit at right on the hotels property to watch the boats on the harbor. "Great prices & a great hotel"
Pros: The rooms were spacious and the furniture was new. (The room looked nothing like the pictures that are shown which was a good thing) The room was clean. I didnt smell anything weird like other reviews stated. The TV was a flat screen. (I hate when hotels have tv's from the 80s) The people at the front desk were nice. The location is near restaurants […] and the highway which made it easy to find. Cons: The bed was comfortable but just a little low. Everytime someone passed our room we could hear them near our window. FYI: This hotel at check in needs EVERYONES ID it was only 2 of us checking in but they still needed both of our ID's I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and modern look of my room's interior. It felt like a room in a much more expensive hotel. My only minor complaint is that the TV can be a bit complicated to use. If you use the directional arrows to change channels the channels will appear fuzzy, which can give you the impression that the signal is weak.
